Have the half time Channel 4 pundits been chosen due to their talents as pundits ? What a poor collection. I’d nearly prefer to listen to Merson and Micah Richards.
Aluko's intelligent but the host needs to be asking more open ended questions and I can't imagine there's much scope for intelligent analysis given the limited cranial power of her co-pundits, especially Joe Cole.

Every top international side is playing a 2nd string in this ''tournament'' hard to draw much from it at all, hard to get excited about a tournament nobody cares to try and win.

People wanted form players to be picked in the squad, now they're all given caps. Now people want this mythical attacking exciting football but can't name another top nation producing it right now.

genuine question - do you reckon Pep or Klopp would get more out of our players ?
Pep would probably pick 4 or 5 City players so that's a decent start

Just seen the TV schedule for Channel 4 - some poor sod's got to edit this into 60 minutes of "highlights".

My thoughts and prayers with them at this very difficult time.

Is Pope the only player not to get any game time so far? He should bring him on at CF, he couldn’t be worse than what we have up there. Continues to pick Kane for every game to get him Rooneys record.

You can see why Pep wants to buy Phillips, all he does is foul, perfect for his holding midfielder.

Make us slightly more exciting to watch within the constraints of international football. The results can't possibly improve without us winning a tournament, Southgate made the final.
It's a game of football, the style is self inflicted

Southgate is taking the pxxx.Nick is the best shot stopper after Allisson yet once again gets ignored by Southgate in favour of Ramsdale!!!
Simple. Ramsgate plays for Arsenal and Southgate's not a very good manager.

This isn't club football, they don't work all year with each other and play together all year long. This sides never played together but expected to produce brilliant football? no other nation can achieve it

The same ineffectual bilge, game after game.
I confess it doesn't really bother me, this non tournament shouldn't even exist, but it won't change when we do get to the real thing. We don't know how to unlock defences, boring tippy tappy, going nowhere football.
We have the talent, we just require someone better than Southgate to organise them.

If Southgate had more intelligence in his centre halves, he wouldn’t have to have his midfield constantly babysitting them and then they could play.

2-0, all over the place

June is a month for cricket, not football.

Compare this rubbish to the Trent Bridge Test a few hours ago.

Maybe you missed the two promotions, the countless goals, the side that had scorers all over the pitch, the ridiculous passing move that led to our goal at Everton, the European qualification....

Dyche only ever worked with what he had at his disposal.

When we had better players than the opposition (mainly in the Champ) we playing brilliant fast-breaking football (2013/14) or just out-played the opposition (2016).

The lump it stuff was difficult to watch but when you've got a budget that buys you Dale Stephens vs 100s of millions of talent to try and play total football would have been suicide.

Congrats to their first team beating England's C team in a pre-season friendly, How'd they do at major international tournaments? Did we not lose to Accy Stanley in pre-season before winning the Championship title under Dyche?

And BTW I'd take boring football IF it were effective.

Over 6 hours since England scored from open play. That's been a feature of Southgate's sides since he first tried his hand at management.
