Quite a lot shorter than I was expecting that. Still, good to see him in the building and interesting that it's a 4-5 year contract.

Certainly talks well and not the overconfidence and shooting down of people answering questions like Dyche had got to. I'm liking what I'm hearing thus far.

I like his manner and his eloquence.

The problem is that over time the manager & media get to know each other well. With Dyche, for us, it was like eves dropping on a private conversation.

That was the broadcast conference, the one for the local journalists follows and is not streamed. They will surely ask more relevant questions but most of the questions there were asked by Pete Stevenson for Sky.

yeah good call - let's hope EVERYONE can stay together and realise this could be a slow calculated rebuild and just tone down those "straight back up" ambitions - yes it might happen but let's be realistic IF Collins departs we have lost Pope, Tarks, Mee and Collins that's not just a hole thats the spine of a team that was not very good. Not every signing will be a hit we already know that. Thought he came across very well… and said as much as he could, as honestly as he could. Very impressed with him so far. But s he says ultimately about what happens on the pitch. Wish him hell, obviously.

It's for the press - that's why the word is in it. All the pre-match press conferences they did last season that were broadcast were stopped as soon as the broadcast section was over.

At one point I’m sure he referred to our financial situation and “the debt”. It seems he’s going to talk openly about it, which is good.
Also interesting that he said we’re looking at 100’s of players just in case players leave. Suggests we’re taking a different, data-led approach and he’s onboard with it.
Thought he answered the Collins question well - that he wanted to respect their holiday, talk to them when they were back, but would’ve liked him to call him out as one they want to keep!!
