Just watching this movie on 5star. Been a while since I’ve seen it and it’s still pretty good for its age.

As well as being a cracking film, it actually matched it’s soundtrack to the action. Something that seems beyond many of today’s directors

Still to this day if I pick up any bottles to take to the bin, I put them on my fingers and say the line.

Absolutely loved this film. Came out of the cinema bricking it. Mind you I had to walk home via Stoneyhome and Daneshouse!! ;-) One of my all time greats. Top 5 for me.

The Warriors is a movie I’ve always had a soft spot for. Along with Assault on Precinct 13, they are my favourite movies from the 70s.

Classic. I had the game on PS2 at the time as well which loosely followed the film and was also great. I also remember going round London on the weekend of our Wembley game and it was like a sports version with Burnley, Sheff U, Millwall and Scunthorpe amongst the colours on show!

I hate the remake of Precinct more than any film I've ever seen. Trying to justify the killings with an inept plot completely misses the point of the original.

The books author wasn't keen at all on the film, but it was a great film .Cartoonish violence but it had drama nevertheless. Great soundtrack also.

I’ve been out to Coney Island a couple of time now whilst visiting NY. Last time there bought a warriors t- shirt which always gets a comment when it’s worn. The boardwalk is a great place but would suggest you are back in NY before it goes dark!

I've read that he ad-libbed that line and got it from a bully who used to say it to him when he was a kid

Cracking film that always takes me back to my teenage years better than any other movie.

I missed it last night, but watched it a couple of months ago. No doubt I will be watching again soon. Never tire of it. Sound track is brilliant as well.

Definitely one of my favourites. Great sub plot of Swan and Mercy too.
I loved how Swan stopped her from preening herself for the rich kids on the train.

I was in NYC during Feb 2020, just before the world went in to lockdown.
I had been looking for things too do and see that took me out of Manhattan as I wanted to a broader experience of the US than just the hurly burly of Manhattan, when rewatching this film, and a life long passion for the Ramones, gave me some inspiration of places to visit.
I set out to visit as many of the settings in the movie that I could find. Like many many before I took a trip down to Stillwell Avenue to see the Wonder Wheel at Coney, and even travelled all the way in to The Bronx to visit Van Cortlandt Park in search of the setting for the meeting at the start of the movie. Failed miserably, later learning that the meeting was filmed in Riverside Park, close to 96th St subway station, where the gang ran in to the Baseball Crazies and where Ajax fell foul of the police.
I also took trips out to Forest Hills in Queens, and Joey Ramone's grave in Kingsland NJ. Forest Hills is a surprisingly pleasant suburb, which a large graffiti mural of the band close to the subway station

I’ve not been to several cities in the US but not New York. If do go, I’d definitely visit Forest Hills and also the site of CBGB’s. Is there still a venue there?
CBGB’s - Another great film about the lesser known side of New York culture.

CBGB's is still there, or at least the building is. It was a clothing boutique on my last visit, although they had a notice on display commemorating its former glory.
You'll also find Joey Ramone Place very close by, as long as no one has nabbed the street sign.

One of my favourite ever films!

Was in New York a couple of weeks ago and went to see the Coney Island wheel mainly because of the film.

Also saw the Ghostbusters HQ which was absolutely incredible to see in real life.

Never seen this film, and hadn't heard of it until relatively recently. Everyone I know raves about it. I really need to sort it out! Maybe five star has catch up? 🤔😂

Stylish film and certainly iconic, but some godawful acting, a shocking script and some dodgy fight scenes. I wouldn’t let that put anyone off watching if you haven’t before, but in my opinion it’s far from the classic that some have suggested.

You have to remember how old the movie is when watching it. No special effects during the fight scenes just choreography.
