Sister clubs makes me think City through use of the City group ngl

With noise coming from David Moyes about the Phillip's deal today, you may be right. In addition City were investigated for breach of FFP. If found guilty I wonder if they would be hit with a retrospective points deduction, if so going back how many years. Ban from Europe also a possibility. This one is likely to run now HMRC are involved, the Premier League can't brush it under the carpet.

City are still embroiled in a court case with the FA/PL, not that City fans are willing to admit/accept.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's them doing this too.

It will be forgiven and forgotten by the Premier league, City are wealthy it's all that matters.

It’s a financial arrangement out of the City playbook. I remember the Football Leaks data showed how they paid Mancini via an Abu Dhabi football club to artificially reduce what they were spending. If it is City, there’ll be pressure on the authorities to get this right after last time.

Not read the article but my first thought was Wolves - given the relationship with Jorge Mendes and the fact they have a Swiss Team
my second thought was Nottingham Forest - their owner has been involved in a lot of dodgy stuff in Greek football

It is surprising that most still view Man City as the only Premier League club that has a multi-club model or members of ownership groups that own other clubs. When actually in the Premier League clubs that fall into these categories include

Manchester City
Liverpool
Leicester City
Crystal Palace
Brighton
Brentford
Wolves
Nottingham Forest

meanwhile the following clubs/owner groups are also considering investing in other Clubs
Aston Villa
Leeds United
Newcastle United
Southampton

We know to our cost about the Forest owner and his dealings in Greece

Has anyone looked into our dealings with Ayr United, Cobh Ramblers, Portadown, and Llandudno? ;)

I wonder about 'onshore' payments such as a club selling a player for, say, 10 million, plus another payment directly from owner to owner of a couple of million. Could explain some of the bargain sales.

But Burnley are not Premier League - the article said it was a Premier League team

I did not include Watford in the original list for the same reason

Yes, good point. It just made me think of that quote from Pace.
