Just a heads-up for any fellow Clarets looking to get tickets to see Springsteen at Villa Park in 2023. On the BTX message board on
www.backstreets.com there's a link on the "UK Tickets-Official thread" meant for Villa Season Ticket holders to get priority on purchasing tickets.

I managed to get 4 for the Holte End this morning.

Imagine paying £100 a ticket to go and watch “The Boss” and it’s Steve Bruce that turns up on stage.
If you were a Villa fan too it would be a double knife through the heart.

Not only did I think it was Steve Bruce…. I’d have more interest in seeing him in concert, too.

Steve Bruce doing live readings of his football themed crime fiction would be a big draw.

Managed to get two this morning. The speed of sell out is obscene, as is the ticket companies loading up with ‘booking fees’.
Be worth it tho, outstanding musician. The e street band are exceptional.

Got tickets for Gothenburg
If you don’t get tickets for Villa Park fear not. It’s easy to get tickets outside as there’s always spares. Paid £20 at Coventry.

On the last tour I saw Bruce at Coventry where he played The whole album Born to Run in honour of James Gadolfini who had died that day. Then I saw him in Cardiff which was an unusual gig as although it was in a stadium they only used about a quarter of it turning it into a smaller arena venue. At that gig, which I think was the last on the tour, he played loads of obscure stuff. Really obscure and some they had never played live before. Great for me but bad for my mate who just wanted the hits.

Hi O.L. I might be getting confused but I don't think it was the last tour, it was the one before. I saw him at the Etihad, where "Born To Run" was also played in its entirety. Gandolfini had died the day before as I recall it and there was certainly a dedication to him . My favourite all-time Bruce concert. From recollection the weather was appalling and we were convinced all day that the gig would not go ahead. Fantastic memories!

Easy mistake. They both suck.

He defo played Born to Run in its entirety at Coventry in 2016. I went to Wembley to see him a couple fo days before and was buzzing that he played Darkness On The Edge Of Town straight through . My late friend HampsteadClaret then posted on here after attending the Coventry gig that he'd played Born to Run there and I remember feeling gutted that I hadn't gone to that show too as then would have seen my two favourite Springsteen albums performed live in the same week.
I'm confused though as James Gandolfini died in 2013 !

Last two Springsteen tours were 2012 Wrecking Ball and The River Tour 2016, both NW gigs at the Etihad. Your quite right TMR, the weather for the 2012 date was shocking and there was a doubt it would be cancelled. As it turned out it went ahead and for me was the best I've seen BS. He certainly Proved it all Night.

Didn't see the PA and consulted with my heavyweight drinking buddy Brenno and if its who he thinks it is then he saw you in the Four Halls a couple of weeks ago. If it is then I really hope you are well and it would be good to meet you in Birmingham?

Was just about to ask how easy or hard it might be to pick up a ticket for one of his sold out gigs. Hoping to be in Dublin next year when he's playing there but it's already sold out.

There are plenty of touts buying up spare tickets and they don’t pay much. So if you see someone asking how much a tout would pay for a ticket and they’re shocked and walk off , just offer them a bit more. But not in earshot of the touts ! Also just post on the various Springsteen message boards. There will be plenty of people with spare tickets at stadium gigs.

Just been in the wait and then queue for a total of 51 minutes, then all sold out, tickets were from £109.50 to £162.50 !
Looks like I'll have to get the turntable out and play the bootleg of the 4th July 1985 show at Wembley, which I went to, at a cost of £9 !! And I got to see the late Clarence Clemons and Danny Federici ....
