Utterly pointless. I sent a picture of the scrote who robbed my car to the police. Full face, clear as day, just like watching the telly.

You can hear the conversation now… “yeah, we can’t do anything, but post a message online, it’ll at least look like we are trying to do something”

Saw this on twitter. The actual images show the head. Obviously they are poor images but if this is all the police have what else can they do? So don’t really understand the cynicism.
And if you do observe the actual images it is possible this person could be recognised by someone.
I only recently joined twitter and I can see why it’s derided. It really is a cesspool of cynicism and smart-arsery. (As reflected by the comments above.)

If you were in the same area at that time it may be possible for someone to recognise him from his build and clothing.

This might be a cunning ploy. The idiot in question might think he's (or she's ) a smartarse and brag online. "No-one else could do it, but I recognise him. It's me!! Genius!!"

OMG You were spot on, he was recognised by a member of the public and the police have made an arrest and they've now issued a full picture of him.

I have contacted Bedfordshire police and informed them it looks a lot like either Sorba Thomas or Josh Koroma and both have links to the Huddersfield area, I have told them where they will be on the morning of Friday 29th July.

Hopefully both are apprehended and taken in for questioning for 24 hours.

the request is for more info - which would include dashcam footage or private CCTV etc if members of the public have that available for a better ID of the person. I do see the funny side though

I know exactly how you feel some years ago at my previous address we became infested by junkies I set up a PTZ HD CCTV system I collected images of buyers dipping and testing powders and handing over cash so clear you could see the hologram marks on the notes the police wanted some of my images relating to criminal damage I ask them to look at the drug dealing and I got 'sorry that's a different department' that different department did nothing.

Errrrrrrrrm…………………………………….. No I can’t. In most cases they couldn’t even help themselves.
