Just re-watched "Ronin" with De Niro and Jean Reno ... the car chase through Paris has to be one of the best since Bullitt

'Vanishing Point' is the best car/road film, but the original is better than the remake.

Every car chase must be accompanied by Earl Scruggs playing Foggy Mountain Breakdown.

I know it's over thinking it but why is it that standard cars can keep up with high performance vehicles when it comes to a movie chase?

Car chases are utterly boring shite and are just there as fillers to waste 10 or so minutes because the script writers and director don’t have the imagination for anything else. Whenever a car chase appears in a film I just fast forward until the acting starts again. That’s one of the reasons why I will never watch any of the Fast and Furious franchise, the other being Vin Diesel of course.
