Cullen given Sky MOM. I think we should get used to that.

Maatsen and Bastien impressed me more first half but especially Bastien faded and Cullen really kept us ticking.

Good result. Incredibly uneven performance but will always be happy with a win. Thats how we want to start.

No need to mention Dyche in any of this. There really isn’t. Just stop it.

Let’s savour a fantastic start to a new era.

A fantastic start to the season. Full of excitement, several outstanding performances. Think we need a forward but overall got to be very satisfied at the way we've gone about tonight.

Excellent win. We tweaked a bit at HT, knowing they would, and weren’t as good. So many of the unknowns showed enough for us to have good expectations.

Whats not to like

Away win
3pts
Amazing performance

I always had faith this was the way to go, manager, transfers, style and system. BUT I thought it would take 2-3 months to click.
We could have done better, if we want to be extra fussy, but how good are we going to be when they really get to know each other, and the system.

Can we give the Dyche stuff a rest on both sides, and just enjoy what we're delivering at Huddersfield tonight.

Long may we continue in this vein.
Seriously as one of the anti-dyche mafiia I agree let it go and look forward to an exciting season

Excellent start. Should have been by a few goals but a win and a clean sheet, rarely troubled at the back aswell.

Could get used to this fast technical football. Beats the hoofs we’ve been used too.

Excellent. Could have won by more. First half was exceptional. Cullen and Maatsen are quality. Just need a good striker.

Great way to start the campaign, excellent 1st half, not as easy 2nd 45, but we were generally in control throughout, and probably should have won by more.

Cullen and Maatsen both outstanding, pity about Twine hitting the post late on, a goal on his debut would have been the icing on the cake.

Plenty of chances created tonight, and get a half decent striker through the door and he'll bury most of them.

Vital we got early points on the board, and now we can sit back relax and see what the rest of the division has to offer over the weekend.

Clean sheet won't do our defence any harm either.

Certainly not getting carried away after 1 game, but we looked mighty impressive in spells, so on that evidence just maybe this season will be better than many including myself expected.

Ah, yes! Would that be Sean Dyche, one of our greatest ever managers who got us two promotions and took us to 7th in the premier league?
Get over it. He belongs in the past along with his fossil friends.

Out with the old and in with new, how exciting

Far better than I expected. I wrote when we signed Cullen that we had finally replaced Barton - that showed tonight. Crucial to take that sting out in the 2nd half and equally crucial to get us dominant in the 1st.

Cornet and McNeil would be total domination in this style, but hey ho, Twine and hopefully O’Hare (finances dependent if such talk is allowed) will have to do.

I worry about Maatsen’s defending, no doubts about his attacking. We may have to become more used to teams getting at us down that side, like last season.

But gosh, how fresh this feels. Total reset.

An excellent performance that! Impressive to see us keep the ball as well as we did and credit to VK and his coaching team for what they have managed to do in such a short space of time!
In my opinion, if we can add a striker, O’Hare and a CB to that squad then we will have a great chance of promotion!

Credit to Vince for putting in place a totally different system with so many new players in such short time.

A few new bodies needed and the future looks bright again
