Re: Dwight McNeil
Absolutely- good luck to him.
Would have thrived as a player tonight.
No doubt he is a talent. Will look forward to see how he does in the competition of the PL

Re: Dwight McNeil
Nice goal lot of space!! don’t think Kiev are Prem quality though
Re: Dwight McNeil
WTF Dwight? Two from the bench?
Re: Dwight McNeil
I know it's deemed "Dyche bashing" by some but to see Dwight getting two goals, to see the performances of Brownhill and to some extent Cork today just show that the system was holding some of our players back.
The comments suggesting that McNeil and Brownhill were just terrible footballers from fans last season will, in my opinion, look a little foolish come the end of the year. I think Brownhill is going to have an excellent season for us and I think McNeil will have a resurgence in form at Everton.

Re: Dwight McNeil
Happy for the lad. Looked a bit downtrodden last season. Hopefully he doesn't end up in another relegation fight.
Re: Dwight McNeil
Shame he's gone. He would have ripped it up this year in the Champ as that inside right forward Costelloe played tonight. Anyway, not to be and good luck to him, hope he gets his confidence back and has a blinding career.

After seeing how we played tonight I do think Dwight would have been fantastic in this system. Good luck to him anyway, apart from against us obviously.

Did you see Brownhill's shot tonight? As usual it is still rising!Conroy92 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 29, 2022 10:44 pmI know it's deemed "Dyche bashing" by some but to see Dwight getting two goals, to see the performances of Brownhill and to some extent Cork today just show that the system was holding some of our players back.

Re: Dwight McNeil
And his second was a header! Never though I’d see him scoring with his head that’s for sure. Hope he does well there.

Re: Dwight McNeil
He’s a very good player, gutted we couldn’t keep him. A pre season game is just that though. Those Everton fans aren’t exactly known for their patience.

Re: Dwight McNeil
Dwight shackles are finally off would love to have seen him play in this new Burnley team. Dyche turned him into a secondary fullback and took away a lot of his best attributes. Hopefully playing him in a team that let him actually play an attacking game can kickstart his career again! Good luck Dwight!

Re: Dwight McNeil
Agree, I wanted him to stay, he would have loved the way we played last night.
I'm glad he hit the ground running, keeps the fans off his back, and I wish nothing but more success.

.. Personally after last season can't stand Everton and Frank Lamp Post and I like to see them relegated this season.
Re: Dwight McNeil
A performance like that from Brownhill last night and you've posted that. Hang your head in shame.HuncoatClaret wrote: ↑Fri Jul 29, 2022 11:04 pmDid you see Brownhill's shot tonight? As usual it is still rising!
