I was making gravy in my mug today and realised it must be 30 years old! We opened the season with Swansea, mid August.
Anyone else still got one of these?

I was just thinking when I read that, "what a great idea and why don't we do that now?" Then I thought of all the tv changes etc etc.

Hands up here! A mug (or cup) is about 350ml, so if you're only doing gravy for one or two, then a mug'll do.
It rhymes because it's true.

Did they have Ceefax/Teletext in1972/73? Always thought it was a late 70s/80s thing?

They did on my mug - was a Christmas pressie around three years ago, my favourite season.

Memories of constantly looking to see if we had signed anyone during the close season of 87 after the Orient game. Checking the news in brief section to see if we were mentioned. Actually remember reading we had signed George Oghani on Ceefax

I remember trying to work out the goalscorer when looking at the latest scores on ceefax. You had to because there were always letters missing in the names!

Seems like I have the only 92/3 mug! Must be worth a fortune now!
Pleased to see that other gravy folk use a mug, too. Ideal size, as mentioned.
I use one of those Green black and white ones too! (Doesn't taste quite so good!)

Collected Burnley mugs through my teens into my 20βs. Got about 60 (off the top of my headβ¦) ceramic, earthenware but the majority are various fixture lists. Looked at them in the loft the other day for the first time in 10 years last week. Apart from some of the packaging looking bashed they all look like new. One day Iβll have a man cave to display them properly.

Great story Elwa.
There was a time when mugs were not available from BFC. I had a mug my mum had bought me. One weekend, a chap on overtime used it and the handle came off...cup smashed. Almost tears when he was telling me.
Unable to get any replacement.
Changed offices and was telling a lad about my lost mug. Turned out he was from Burnley! (We worked in Southampton, for BT)
He said he would ask his mum to locate one. She had a stall on Burnley Market.
She could not get one anywhere. However, she had a cup and saucer from Bob Lord's Boardroom (he changed the set)
He brought it down for me.
What a lad. Such a kind gift and now my prize possession of Burnley memorabilia, as it defined a piece of history and the people of Burnley.

I have evidence Tim Noone has one , apparently worth some cash as a pair Ian

I had a Burnley Guiness mug I got from the club shop in the mid nineties (Black with Burnley pure genius in the gold Gunness writing) and more recently my dad got me one made up of SD holding a shirt up as a new signing with my name on the back. The fixture mug was a good idea back in the early nineties though. You had to dig the fixtures up a bit more in them days so to combine that with a cup of tea is just win win!

Have the same teletext mug as shown above but for the play off final win against Sheff Utd, always have my game day Saturday morning tea out of it.

I have the 91/92 fixtures mug on my desk that I use to store various charging wires.
York away originally should have been Tuesday March 10th.
Two ***Bye*** games listed as well, Sept 18 Wed & April 11 Sat.
