Cant see a thread started so....
Villa v Everton
Tarky playing left side of a back 3, McNeill right side of midfield. Ref didnt give a free kick against Mings when he was being skinned by Gordon and put an arm fairly strongly across the Everton man's neck. (Having said which Gordon likes a dive so the ref mayve taken that into account). Still 0-0 witth Everton just a goal disallowed
Cardiff v Birmingham City
Bluebirds 1-0 up v Bluenoses.

Ings at his best there.
Everton fans will be on McNeil’s back for losing it in the middle.

Yes, as soon as he turned to get it in a bit of space on his left, you had confidence that would fly in.

Oh how we could have done with McNeil last night. Hope it works out for him at Everton eventually.

But we already didn’t score or have any assists last night?

Honestly don’t think Dwight is any good at all centrally. All went wrong for us when he stopped being an out and out left winger imo. If he doesn’t get switched there, I fear for him.

Feel like Dwight's best position would be at wing-back in a back 3.

I’ve a funny feeling his position could be on the bench fairly soon.

I had a bet on 2-1 for the Villa game. When Villa went 2-0 up, I thought there was v little chance of winning with Everton having posed v little threat. Villa then went really flakey at the end and I cashed out with 3-4 minutes to go as It looked like Everton would get another.
When Gordon manages to stop diving and look around a bit more, he'll be a fantastic player- he's got great skill on the ball and v good pace.
Tarks did OK in that game I thought, pretty solid and his distribution was fine.
Typical lovely strike from Ings.

McNeil is a busted flush, he has been watched by opposition coaches and it is so easy for them, just block his left side all you have to do.

Villa doubled up on him all game. Everton have the same issue we do, no striker making runs to keep the defenders occupied - makes the doubling up very easy

Exactly, opposition coaches watch hours and hours of videos and look for weaknesses

Thought Tarks had a reasonable game, and in Coady I think you will get a good partnership going

I don't know who's responsible for ratings on BBC Sport, but McNeil came out comfortably bottom (4.23)

Watching Hull Norwich on a stream - Hull ok going forward but wide open on the right hand side of their defence. Norwich should be a few up but still 0-0

Anybody using the website can input their scores- you too if you like. I'm not sure how long after the game it stays open but it's done now.
I wouldnt say McNeill was comfortably bottom (bottom -yes). 4.23 but 4.33 Decouree, 4.34 Gray, 4.36 Rondon, 4.46 Davies; only 4 of their players managed 5 or above (Tarky 5th on 4.90).

Perhaps, I don't know.
but if they are as you say then it's probably non-attending fans, isn't it?

Missed the early KO, Bristol Rovers beat Oxford 1-0, and they've adapted well to life at the higher level under Joey.

Incredible technique from Kevin d B, runs at defence, quick body swerve then hits it with the outside of his right foot to curve it into the bottom corner.

Norwich seem to be struggling more than us on their return to the Champ. Strange one given they’ve not lost any of their incredible players to the PL.

That’s the result of a fan base who expect their team to be Man City but actually perform like, well, Everton
