The awful Rob Jones is the ref at the City Ground, so controversial decisions on the way.

Cornet on the bench for West Ham

Definitely a Baggies fan for the afternoon and I expect them to get 3 points.
Should be a few goals in the Boro v Blades game - I think a draw.

I lived in Nottingham 1978-83 and have some liking for Forest (and County for that matter) but a bit worried about all the buy-ins (a bit like Fulham when they came up last time, may be a bit disruptive). I think West Ham will win, they have a decent and well-settled side (and a good manager). It'd be good to see Cornet come on for 20 minutes later in the game.

Chelsea v Spuds, two teams who are inconsistent; both can play really well or indifferently. I think Spuds will get the away win today.

On the Fantasy Football front- Im looking for points today from Son and Cresswell. (The latter appears to be starting as CB?).

I've just spotted that when I looked to see whether Cornet was involved

Brilliant to see Premier League football back at the City ground.

I’m sure media wasn’t as fawning to us as Forest…commentator saying what a pleasure and privilege it is to be at City ground for their Prem return, the City ground ‘…it just smells of football…’, drone footage of stadium!
Reminds me of coverage of Leeds 2 seasons ago!

Didn’t recognise the name Rob Jones as ref but that face reminds me of one of the worst refereeing performances I’ve seen

Good to see a football shirt with no sponsor on the front

Early yellow card for Declan Rice, Forest work the free kick well and a good save from Fabianski tipping it over the bar.

Adds to the FFP though with Forest spending so much and no main shirt sponsor funds adding to their turnover.

Can't believe that Rice has been booked for those 2 fouls after the treatment that Benson received on Friday went without a similar punishment.

Footballs gone to dogs with VAR. Antonio was the once who was impeded there. He should’ve fallen over as well to get the decision

Correct decision. Antonio was looking right at the defender and ran right into him while the defender was wanting to come out to Rice.

Terrible refereeing not to spot it, the sort of thing that we have suffered from before VAR.

Now Forest lead, instead of being behind.

Both games moved to Sunday due to the West Brom v Sheff Utd game on Thursday in the League Cup, none were moved for TV.

Don't agree, there was no way that was an intentional block. Antonio was looking to run in behind and it was just a collision.

Anotinio slightly changed his run which I don’t think did him any favours.

I thought any games that were outside the sat 3pm blackout and not scheduled to be shown on Sky would be available on the red button.

Yes, he did. However, have to say, having viewed the replay a few timed, still can't make up my mind. :?:

Shows how difficult it is to get decisions right even with Var. We've seen it a lot more than the ref and some people are adamant it's a foul and others just as adamant it isn't.

That's a foul for me. Mangala is on his way out to engage Rice, which may just have prevented him sliding the ball through to Benrahma.

If that's Burnley, we're all screaming for the foul.

it's an abysmal decision, truly one of the worst I've seen - that happens 100 times a game where players bump into each other and a free kick is never given.

Absolutely right. also , when the ball is played back to the keeper defenders are constantly changing the line of their runs to block off the attacker.

I really do not miss VAR.. how is he not sent off intentional hand ball believing himself to be last line of defence

that's a clear pen and should be a red

so it seems an intentional denial of a goal is no longer a red card, Henderson's position should be irrelevant

Pen saved
