Parking for home games.

Had season tickets for close to 20 years but due to move to Yorkshire in the coming months. Be the first time I've lived outside the town while having a car.
Just asking for ideas where would best to park for home games?
I generally don't drive and park in town as it is or I'll chuck it in the 2 hour tesco carpark. What obviously is no good for games

Came over from Yorks when I lived there. Parked on street in Fulledge and walked in. Took road to Worsthorne then Nelson/Colne on return. Usually ok but could be busy getting out. Not sure about parking to west of the turf.

I usually park on Queen Vic Road (pointing car in the right direction) for a quick getaway out of town towards Colne - can be out of town in 10 minutes.

If you want to head east after the match, and are fit enough to walk to the car, I'd suggest King Street Car Park up by the courthouse. It's a bit of a walk but it's quick to get to the motorway without undue traffic.

Thanks for the suggestions. Towards end of last year , the club was using burnley college as a carpark. Is that still a thing?

Depends on your route home. If heading M65 east then around South Street /Bank Parade is good for night games (there is restrictions on Saturdays though).
I usually park towards the top of Plumbe Street to go west on M65. It does get busy for getting away but I have a five-year old with me so have to factor the walking/whinging in when choosing where to park!

I tried using it last hame against Newcastle, they told me it would be closed by the end of the match. I think it's a Saturday only option.

We park by Queen’s Park (sometimes even the other side of the top of Thompson park, borrowhead lane I think it’s called) too pointing away from the ground. It’s a little walk down and back to the ground but prefer that to sitting in traffic. Nearly always back home in the safety and serenity of Yorkshire by 5:45pm on a Saturday and 10:30pm midweek.

Been road works on Eastern Avenue over the last few days causing traffic near the petrol station. Worth bearing in mind if you travel that way

I travel from Leeds and generally park near Fulledge for an easy journey home via long causeway and Hebden Bridge.

I used to drive over from Huddersfield and get there early and park behind bee hole end. Then back up Brunshaw road and over the kebs to Hebden Bridge. Always a easy drive home. Depends where abouts you live over the border

The walking is easy. Coping with the whinging may be less easy.

I park up daneshouse & walk on the towpath brilliant in this weather obviously when it's chucking it down finding somewhere closer is more advisable.

You have to start school I suspect initially to experience that so probably posting in vain.

I park on a little estate of Parliament Street in the Burnley wood area as I approach from the south along the A56

Depends where in Yorkshire you want to get back to.
Park around Asda area for quick access to M65 Eastbound.
Park on the old Bo Jangles/ Blu Bar car park if you can walk through town centre for quick access to motorway.
If near Keighley jump on the bus. Only a pound after 7pm. Every hour i think.

He cycles to school. Not sure how practical it is to bring his bike on The Turf!

That’s why you use YourParkingSpace and pay £3 to park there for 5 hours

I come from the outskirts of Leeds and the best I’ve found is off Finsley gate on Cooper street. Can always get a space even if I’m running late, about 15min walk to the ground and isn’t too bad in time to get back on the M65 to go home.

Pretty sure i read the club have teamed up with a Company to offer matchday parking up by mancheter road starion.£7-50 a pop, thought it was a joke at first.

Sainsburys is usually booked up / unavailable on Saturday match days.
You may have to book well in advance.
