Good lineup, refreshing to see the variety of wide options.

If he can stay fit he’ll be a great bench option at this level in all fairness (and that’s coming from someone who thinks we should have released him 18 month ago). Good luck to him.

Time to see what Tella is about today, just parked up. Come on.

Looks a strong line up with some good options off the bench. Come on Burnley let's squeeze these tangerines until the pips squeak

Surprised to see Vitinho keep his place on the wing. Needs to offer a lot more than he did the other night, movement was non existent.

No McNally,( no defenders on bench)

Good to see Gudmundsson on the bench. A cut above.

I would prefer 2 strikers in this league. Both ours do their bit, tracking into midfield.

Egan Riley is a defender, plays anywhere across the backline

Glad Tella gets a start, and Churlinov on the bench is also good to see.

Get a crucial first goal today and not concede anything sloppy and I am hoping we will go on to get a clear win.

Come onnnn!

Surprised McNally hasn’t been tried yet. I assumed that he and THB would be the preferred central pairing.

I like these changes. I'm all for mixing up the squad and would love to see us use most of our subs, but give the subs significant time (i.e. sub at half time rather at the 85th minute).... I don't understand why managers feel the need to run the squad ragged for close to 90 minutes, especially when you have capable subs to fill in.

This starting eleven should easily have enough to see Blackpool off today.

Come on you Clarets!

One thing we can't accuse Kompany of is not using his subs.

2 at Huddersfield (Twine and Vitinho).

2 against Luton (Benson and Vitinho, the former at HT)

5 at Watford (Cork, Jay Rod, McNally, Tella and Vitinho)

3 against Hull ( Barnes, Benson and Tella)

And it's good too see he's not shy to make the call if needed.

keep thinking the way we've been playing that one game we are going to score quite a few, but unfortunately don't think this is the game, not there yet, but soon someone is going to be very unhappy after playing BFC.

Massive game win this and it’s a decent start, another game of frustration and it’s a poor start results wise you have to say.

Westwood said he’s back running next week and the physios are aiming for November but hopes to be back sooner. Will be a big boost to have him back in this system.

Glad Vitinho kept his place, he was pretty much ignored by his teammates for 55 minutes against Hull because we seemed obsessed with either always going left for Maatsen or making short sideways passes trying to edge through the middle. He was open on the wing repeatedly.
Bit harsh dropping Bastien as his playstyle is what gives Maatsen space but it'll be interesting to see if Tella can do it better as he strikes me as more attacking although potentially with less defensive workrate or energy.
I'd expect Benson to come on at some point for Vitinho, and Churlinov to get his debut. Would love to see JBG feature.
Harsh on Costelloe to be left out,I know Barnes has two assists but at this point I'd rather give Dara the spot.

Then he’ll need to get match fit etc. I’ll be surprised to see him this side of the World Cup break. He’d be fine in the double pivot but not sure how he’d get into the team, probably a back up if Cullen is out.

That's a shockingly quick recovery time especially given how bad his injury was. Would be an incredible boost, he had a bad 21-22 but most of our team did. In 2019-20 he was a very very productive midfielder who could still do well at this level.
