Positives

While there are some clear areas of concern / holes in the squad being discussed elsewhere, there were a number of positives today:
- Nathan Tella looked electric in the first half and was fully deserving of his two goals.
- Some of the football in the first half was simply superb, Blackpool couldn’t cope with it, the Vitinho chance (should have scored) came from a beautiful passing move from the back.
- Brownhill with another strong performance and goal. I think he’ll score more than 10 this season.
- Muric showed he’s a decent keeper, 3 excellent saves in the second half which in the end won us a point
Feel free to add others.

Tella was always going to be a good player, he's started quite a lot of games in the Premier League over the past two seasons, couldn't understand some of the negativity towards his signing.

Kompany will have learned more in that second half then his previous years in management.

Scored 3
Should have scored more
Big crowd
Exciting game
Probably 7 points shy of what we deserve
Rovers lost 6-0 in 5 days
Neck doesn't hurt

We are creating more than enough to win games comfortably.

We are doing all the pretty things-lets start on the ugly ones now, like shape to the defence and importantly "game management"

VK will have seen how bad Barnes actually is.

Harwood-Bellis is going to be a good player. He needs a dominant CB alongside.
We are playing some great football at times. All three goals were crackers in their own way.
Form of Brownhill. He's been excellent.
J-Rod and Tella look a good fit.
Think we should have had another few goals from that performance.

Maatsen’s red forces the issue to get Taylor away from centre back.

I thought that Brownhill strike isn't getting as much credit as it deserves. Hit it first time and straight into the top corner. Hell of a strike.
Muric making some very good saves, despite some of the crowd being on his back.
Tella looks immense going forwards and defensively.
Vintinho looked better today and he was also doing good work at the back.
We finally managed to look very threatening going forwards.
Jay looks sharp and like he is enjoying his football.
THBs passing was incredible first half.
The first half. Excellent all round.

Tella showed he'll have a huge impact.
Brownhill bagged again, and it was a beauty.
3 goals which has been a problem in previous games.
Still unbeaten at home.
Harwood-Bellis involved in our attacks again, and he got a deserved assist.
As did Jay, who looked lively well on.
Still in touch with the top 6, mainly due to the league being so compressed, as is often the case in the Champ.
We'll have learnt a harsh lesson 2nd half, so if we get into a winning position again we should be better prepared to see the game through until the final whistle.

Indeed could be Kompany's Ben Mee to CB moment couldn't it.

The gaps have been abundantly clear to Pace. He’s still got two weeks to sort this out

If I were being super positive (I'm not totally, because there are clear areas that need improving, namely, a few incoming signings, and putting our chances away), I'd say that the draws have felt like losses precisely because of our dominance in games and the quality of a lot of our play. I'd prefer wins, of course, but I think I'd rather be in a position where we're playing well and drawing than playing poorly and drawing, because there's a good foundation to what we're doing if we are at these early stages the architects of our own downfall in games; it can more easily be believed that this can be addressed than still to have to work out how to step up to other teams' levels. I'd have bigger concerns if we were getting out of town with a point feeling as though it was not properly deserved or earned by us, because in that case there's the worry that our luck runs out and we get absolutely battered for a few weeks.

First half was a fantastic performance.
VK will have learnt quite a lot about himself and his team today, and hopefully the mistakes will not be repeated.

That Barnes ‘performance’ will have concentrated some minds about our striker situation.
Tella absolutely terrified them.
The Maatsen red card will see Taylor back at LB and a proper CB in

Probably deserves its own thread, but the fantastic reception Clarke Carlisle got at half time was hear warming. Glad to see he is doing well.

I hope it stays like this but I doubt it.
