Pay on the day at Shrewsbury?

Does anyone know whether I could get a ticket or pay on the day
in the away end?
Just realised Shrewsbury is less than an hour away from where I live
so might be able to make the journey as long as I can get in.

It's boring trying to ring Shrewsbury, it's far more interesting putting it out on here and waiting for Newcastleclarets reply.

You've just realised...Where did you think Shrewsbury was previously?

A couple were arguing while staying in the Shrewsbury Premier Inn all weekend ... He insisted "its pronounced Shrewsbury" and she said "its pronounced Shrowsbury "its Shrewsbury" said the husband "IT'S SHROWSBURY" said the wife very loudly ... on the Sunday night they were in a local Restaurant and asked the waitress how it was pronounced ... the waitress looked bemused and didn't really understand ... so the Husband said very slowly "this place we are in how is it pronounced"
The waitress looked at him and said "B U R G E R K I N G"

I'll try and give Shrewsbury Ticket Office a call tomorrow, my shifts have changed so I can get there now but can't get a ticket from the club before midday. Will update.

It is pronounced Shewsbury, well more precise "Shoesbree" by the locals. Hence the nicknames "The Shrews", not "The Shrows"

Any local knowledge on free parking . It doesn't have to be right outside the ground, not bothered doing a bit of a walk

Surely in that case shouldn't they be known as the Shews

then not the Shrews

It was cash only at the away ticket office (next to the away stand turnstiles) for the preseason friendly. Think it was 12 quid for that game. If its the same price tonight it may well be the same setup.
We had to pop over to Lidl next to the ground to get cash back.

There is a retail park (Meole Brace), not far from the ground, SY3 9NB.

Just spoken to Shrewsbury Ticket Office and you can pay on the day.
And the good news is it's only £6 for concessions.

You will get a ticket if you park on there for over two hours.

You can park down the far end away from the shops but it will cost you a fiver I think. You turn in as though you are going into the retail park but then go right on the roundabout just inside and continue down to the end. It is around a 15 to 20 minute walk to the ground.

It’s ‘Shrow’. I correct it everytime it’s not pronounced correctly. Leicester isn’t pronounced as it looks. It’s the same with this.

Really? Did not know that. I knew that was the case with Sainsbury's but not on the main parking area. Oh well, don't be doing that then anyone...

There's some, albeit limited free street parking on Hereford Road that we used last time. Seemed fine but might have to get there in good time.

You must be spending an awful lot of your days correcting people in and around town then...Either that or you live in Kingsland.

Go to Aldi just past the ground, there's a new housing estate being built , there was plenty of on street free parking when we went for the friendly.
Although probably 2 or 3x as many fans tonight.
5 minute walk to the ground
