Extremely - more reps for Taylor at centre half?
Over the moon for Lowts, clearly got his head down and shown VK he wants it
I personally think he should be starting in that inside fullback position over Roberts

Agreed. Why would you play Charlie Taylor again, when McNally is a centre-half who needs match time?

Yep co sidelong EJR playing centre back instead of the RB/CB position Roberts is being asked to play so should have been EJR at RB for me and NcNally at CB

amazed McNally isn't playing especially as he bossed the league Shrewsbury currently play in

Imagine being McNally. A new signing and he can't even get a game in the league cup.

Taylor playing actually makes sense in that he needs more minutes there and he now has a new partner for two league games down that side in Vitinho. The more minutes they get together the better for the team. It might have been different if Matsen hadn’t got sent off and Taylor may have missed out for McNally with Egan Riley at right back.
VK clearly (from the friendlies and training) doesn’t think McNally is ready for the championship yet.

Barnes-just dont see the logic with Costelloe on the bench. Are we going to start Barnes v Wigan if he plays OK tonight. For me we know what he can do. Cant see the logic in Taylor either when he looks lost at CH-unless VK is playing him at LB tonight. Is Vitinho not a RB

Vitinho played both full back positions at his last club

Little bit concerned with VK being ok small balling teams.
We have little to no height in that XI

Wrapping him up in cotton wool I imagine. The one player we can't afford to get injured at present.

For f@ck’s guys (oh and girls). The school of negativity is in session again. And we haven’t even started yet. You’re a depressing lot, probably from the age profile of those who want it, and want it now

Are any of you who are criticising some of the more senior players being selected the ones who criticised Dyche for playing weak sides in the cups?

I hope Barnes has a blinder!.....Players thrive on confidence.
If Barnes read this forum he'd be clinically depressed in no time.

Hoping Barnes scores and very glad he’s starting, personally. Needs a goal badly.
Disappointing to not see some of the younger players like Tucker, Richardson, Helm etc on the bench at least? Logic of two keepers?

I reckon it’s because a lot of coaches like having a left footer at left CB. Having said that, McNally needs game time, otherwise what was the point in buying him?

What some of us need to realise is that these 20-22 year olds are our senior players now, to a degree.
It is a stronger side than some we played in this cup while in the PL. I concur re McNally. but he may have a knock, he was missing from the bench too in a recent game.
What is clear though is that after the manager’s sacking this cup remains a low priority - I had assumed the new board would want the profile from a cup run. Not saying I agree or disagree - nice to have a cup run but we are hardly starved of glory matches against PL sides.

I don’t understand why they can’t broadcast online
There’s been many times I’ve been out away from a “normal” radio but would have listens to via phone but not been able to

You have to listen on a radio, old style. Won’t let you stream radio commentary.
