Watford
Have sold Kamara to their sister club Udinese for £17m who have immediately loaned him back for the season. Watford will use the money “to strengthen in other areas”.
If that is not getting around FFP I don’t know what is.

Re: Watford
Stinks when owners have two clubs like this
Re: Watford
And they’ve gone and signed a lad from Udinese for 15m just after this Kamara thing.
Absolute joke.

Re: Watford
Basically cheating, and allowing Watford to comply with FFP, and have more cash flow if needs be.
It stinks

Re: Watford
They will need the cash flow to pay off the manager.

Re: Watford
I was told by someone who used to work at Bournemouth that in a recent window when they were still in the Championship, when they bought endless players, including Kieffer Moore, that their Russian owner needed to launder money. The FFP is a farce when you see what Forest, Arsenal & Everton, to name a few, are doing

Re: Watford
Taking out this Kamara deal then Watford have a net profit of £32 million this summer, plus expected sale of Pedro to Newcastle for £30 million and pretty sure Sarr will go before deadline for around £20-25 million, they have made plenty of money with parachute payments on top of that, why do they need to do this with Kamara?
Rather than Watford, is it more for Udinese?

Re: Watford
TBH I find it more annoying that we've had to play them with Sarr and Pedro and other sides in the division won't have too. Always been odd to me that the transfer window stays open so late.

Re: Watford
Presume there’s loads of financially focused football journalists all over this?
What’s that you say? No there isn’t?

Re: Watford
Me too. I hate it.
We tried bringing it forward, and did for a season I think, but the super powers complained it disadvantages them vs European clubs. Needs to be a coordinated thing for it to work, I think.

Re: Watford
It's the system that's at fault for having so many loopholes not the clubs having the ingenuity to circumnavigate FFP.
