I’ve been listening to Annie Lennox this afternoon - some solo, some Eurythmics. It’s ages since I did and I’d almost forgotten just how good she is.

I just heard one of her solo songs in a bar in Lagos, Portugal. Extremely good. Great voice.

Only saw them live once bodge at the NEC, Birmingham. Mainstream by then but she did an acoustic set that night which was stunning.

Smooth FM play a odd 1 or 2 & on certain occasions & with a nice glass of wine it's quite enjoyable listening.

The Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) album is one of my all time favourites. All the tracks still sound amazing, not least the title track.

I remember the gig at the Cats 1982 I think. Just Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart what a voice.

Wonderful voice but saw her kick off at some poor soul in the front row at MEN and I’ve never liked her since. They had to stop the show and Dave Stewart came out and told a couple of jokes whilst she composed herself. Very Prima Donna.

Never saw the Eurythmics, but I did a songwriting course with Dave Stewart at Sunderland Poly.
Annie used to pop in and sing on occasions.

I won a copy of Sweet Dreams on a GWR (Radio) Bob Harris competition for the best joke about chickens (I was about 10 at the time!)
Why did the chicken cross the road?
To avoid Colonel Sanders…
Yeah crap joke, but won the prize - fantastic song and album that

Eurythmics not my thing but no doubt she has a cracking voice. I love this cover of Streets of London she did with Ralph McTell

I know the song, but I had no idea Annie was involved with it.

Annnie Lennox' voice is great, unique. Love it. The Eurythmics' 'Love is a stranger' is one of my all time favourites.

Wonderful singer, she has an almost haunting quality about her.
Always looked amazing too with her short spiky hair.

Good singer and I really love The Tourists' Blind Among the Flowers and The Loneliest Man in the World.
However it must be said her cover of Shining Light , the Ash song, is truly terrible !
