Trevi fountain
On holiday in rome and visited the trevi fountain at lunch time . I threw 5 euro coins in and made a wish . I'll do the same on Tuesday but only throw 3 in . Coming home Wednesday , but if it works , can you please set up a " just giving " page to keep me here for the sake of the clarets. Was in a bar when Roma scored tonight - bedlam !!!

Re: Trevi fountain
I once read an article about the Rome Council collecting money that had been thrown into the fountain. The sums collected are astronomical.

I’ll give you five euros to make it eight - biggest win I’ve seen was the seven nil against Rotherham. I’d love to see an eight!

Well done expb! Was there a good while ago - a beautiful city. At the Trevi fountain a few of the local
entrepreneurs s were supplementing their incomes by using magnets attached to extra long sticks to collect coins - some of the euro coinage was magnetic. Local cops turned up and got rid of them!

We were there when they fished the coins out. They used wheelie bins to take it away.

Had a spell staying in Gandia, Valencia, Very narrow streets. Used to go down to a bar on a Saturday night, football was always on. If Valencia scored they let a miniature bomb off in the street. They must have heard it 5 miles away. Proper fanatics in Europeexpoultryboy wrote: ↑Sat Aug 27, 2022 8:30 pmOn holiday in rome and visited the trevi fountain at lunch time .
