Enjoyed that the Mason's Arm's at the beginning with the damp & fog made like a scene from The League of Gentlemen, quite enjoyed Dunbar singing at the end ..reminded me of Gordon Haskell...how wonderful you are....Googled Gordon and was sad to see he died in 2020....I'm rambling...back to Ridley..I'm looking forward to the next one

Just got round to watching this last night. The caravan park is in Formby. The police station is in Bolton, at the rear of the town hall. I think it’s council offices and is call Le Mans Crescent or something like that.

Enjoyed it myself.

The storylines have been decent. The acting, apart from a couple of name actors, has been awful.
We’ve just had a very similar experience over here with “Harry Wild”. Jane Seymour as Harry. Really good plots and atrocious acting.

Pretty sure Gordon Haskell appeared on a King Crimson album Steve. Might have been Lizard, the one that Jon Anderson did vocals on a track. Could be wrong.

Superb voice Ian ....so relaxing with the head phones on,I was shocked that he had died a couple of years ago.

The acting is abysmal TT especially from the guy playing the lead role,he's a terrible actor.

One gets the feeling that there will be an album in the offing for Christmas containing songs from the series along with other Yuletide favourites.

If there is I just hope the songs are a bit more upbeat. :(

I seem to recall reading an obituary Steve. By the way I checked out Lizard and he was the bass and vocals on that album apart from one track where they used Anderson for his range. The one I remember of his though was the one track he did on In the Wake of Poseidon, Cadence and Cascade, a truly beautiful song.
He never actually played live with them as he wasn’t a massive fan of their music and much preferred soul.

It was one of the 3 tracks they had to recognise the Artist after the starter for 10

Needless to say they didn't recognise King Crimson lol ... they said Pink Floyd 🤣

Spotted this show on my recommendation list on Sky and I remembered this thread so I gave it a go. I’m in the twaddle camp too, awful script, usual television tropes and acting is terrible, it’s like they just did one take.

I don’t know how people can watch stuff like that. It was bigger budget, darker episode of Doctors or Doc Martin or something.

It is poor and as you say not very good acting. And the singing!!!! But some good winter scenes of the Pennines.

Filmed a police car chase up there as well, So I’m certain it is Wardle Res. They used Hollingworth Lake car park whilst they were filming round here.

BTW: tonights show was much better, shame they had to wait until the last one.

Definitely walking down the lower end of Hillside Rd. After crossing Birch Ave. because my mates old house was clearly seen in the background.
