Magnificent tonight - and in particular a goal-saving tackle.

Should have had MOM. Sky gave it to Jay Rod.

I thought Charlie was outstanding. MOM, for me, I think.

Don't want to be too harsh when he played so well but he was a little weak with the equaliser; there was something wrong with his positioning when the ball went across which left him wrong side when the ball ended up with the sub. Being hyper critical, there but I said it in real time. I'd have to see a replay to check but I it's what I thought, fwiw.

CT is definitely not one of our weak areas to improve.

I agree it was a very good performance from Charlie but I still believe we need more height at the centre back position. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing Charlie back at left back with perhaps Beyer at centre back, if he is good enough. They won nearly every ball from free kicks and corners into our box.

After that performance I’d stick with Chaz at CB and move bring Bayer in at RB over Roberts.

Had to dig Maatsen and a powder puff Vitinho out several times tonight .

Agree. What was Roberts even trying to do there?

Which minute of the 98 are you referring to?

No idea. Been one of the Roberts defenders in the past but he was hopeless tonight. Can tell he didn’t do much defending in the position he played at Swansea

Thought a lot about tonight rolled back the Dyche years (in a good way) and nothing more than that outstanding block from Charlie.

He was immense.

Can’t argue with that. Even before the goal he was poor.

Fair point. But tbh I’ve kept quiet about Roberts for a long while. Overall I think he’s average at best (maybe not being utilised correctly tbf) and I think any blame for the goal is vey harsh after 98 minutes of football.

But I suppose my main point is: I assume Beyer has come to play, and on tonight’s showing I’d rather that be for Robert’s than Charlie.

Wasn’t sure he was a CB at first but seems to be growing into the role, getting better each game.

The Sky commentator said that Kompany was surprised we hadn't used Taylor more at CB, obviously when you have Tarky and Mee he wouldn't be needed there. To be honest I hadn't been too impressed with him playing there until last night, thought he was excellent.
