Thanks for doing this Eloise.
My estimate is 112 ml of vinegar and 45 mussels.
PS As I am doing the count for the Preston Game, please would someone be kind enough to give me a fool proof description of how to add photos to a post - I have tried to do it before and failed miserably.. Many thanks in anticipation

Dawlish, I am using an iPad… when you start a new topic, underneath the box to post your musings is a little box that’s headed attachments, I click on that and am given option to upload the photo from my library, click that, chose photo, click add and it’s there…..hope that helps somewhat.

On my SamsungS9 I use the edit in "Gallery" then "resize image" option

We have just been awarding points to the nearest ... if 2 people have same number they both get the 5 points ... no sharing etc ... Thats worked so far
so I am happy to have the same number as Africlaret (I haven't scored any yet and africlaret has
so its a lucky omen for me maybe not so much for africlaret
)

On the S9 you go into Gallery
Click on the pencil icon

I used to have to email myself the pics and use the PC to resize them, then post pics from my PC ... then I discovered the resize image facility
certainly makes things easier

I have given this some thought, whether to postpone the count and I think our Queen who by all accounts, liked fun and frivolity, and proved to us, with her star parts at the London 2012 Games & the Jubilee Celebrations that she enjoyed a laugh and a joke would not be offended if we concluded the count as planned. If others are in agreement, drainage will commence at 5pm tomorrow with the winner announced at 6pm.
I will always remember this special edition of the Food Count

Count done. Total of 92 mussels & 150 ml of liquid
No outright nail on the head guesses, but nearest to the total and 5 points each ago to
Claretmisterg with a guess of 76 mussels
BigF with a guess of 145 ml
