I rarely drive across town but did notice it took around 40 minutes to get from Ightenhill to Praire yesterday at around 5:30, I assumed the motorway was shut it was that busy.

Crikey that is horrendous. I don’t live in Burnley any more but would estimate that journey used to take 10-15 minutes?

‘As the crow flys’ it’s only about a mile or so as well

It’s a busy time of day but usually takes 20 mins

The roadworks around Eastern Avenue have got progressively worse - avoid at all costs.

Rumours of a roundabout being put in where the 4 way traffic lights are at the Turf. 18 months of bedlam if so.

I hope not. Someone at the council needs to give their heads a wobble if so. It’s one thing after another with roadworks in Burnley.
