Large police presence at Deepdale one would guess.

In order to cope with the sheer volume of people descending on London over the next 10 days I am sure that police will have to be recruited from all pats of the country. A question for the authorities to decide is if the game at Preston can go ahead on Tuesday but not the game scheduled between Millwall and QPR the following evening. Millwall and QPR both have the distinct possibility of their home fixtures being at risk of postponement next Saturday, if police resources in London are severely stretched, which brings in the issue of fairness etc.

I would not be at all surprised if all games were postponed until after the funeral. If they do return I certainly cannot see any way that games will be played in London next weekend with the crowd volumes and transport congestion that is being forecast.

Id sufficiently suggest that ALL games next week would be postponed due to the massive police presence from all counties

Surely people would behave in an appropriate manner during this period and reduce the need for policing. Am I being naive?
TBH I think I am.

Highly doubt midweek games won’t be played. Police presence won’t be required as much until the weekend surely? And even then it might be select games that can’t go ahead. No chance Champions League fixtures are cancelled either, City and Liverpool at home.

Yes,you're being naive, plenty of them will be half drunk or drugged up before entering the stadium.

Do we know when a decision has to be made whether or not Saturdays game goes ahead.
What do people think? On or not ?

Can't understand why Tuesday game needs to be cancelled as the funeral isn't till the following Monday, but realise why the weekend fixtures could come under threat as forces will be pulled in from all over the country to assist the Met Police

My opinion, based on the information currently available, is that we'll pay both Tuesday and Saturday.

I doubt that any London club will play at home at the weekend.

Could be 5 flakes of snow on the Turf access road, so H and S could say game off, as some people may turn up in flip flops, slip and sue.

Such a shame the international break immediately follows the fixtures next weekend. If it hadn’t, an early postponement could possibly have occurred, with delaying the weekend fixtures to the day or second day post-funeral.

I’m sure slip and sue are sensible people and will wear appropriate footwear. :D

Chris Gibson who works at the club tweeted before that the Fan Zone is open for Tuesday’s game, suggests to me the game will be on.

Any chance of the lesser spotted Twine being available for this?

Good news. Common sense prevails. Here's to another 3 points at Deepdale.

The clubs latest training videos show him back in full training with the group so you’d think there’s a chance. Wonder if he got some minutes in the behind closed doors friendly on Friday.
