Dropped catch Hales and missed stumping Salt proved costly along with pie-throwing bowlers.

After watching Pakistan get a lot of wickets bowled, it was vital we bowled at the wickets.
It was keeping low, so anything banged in short on the wickets could provide problems.

We give them far too much width, but they batted very well.

They are ranked 1 and 2 in the rankings for a reason, but even so they made that tough chase look a breeze, helped by England's mistakes mind you.

I can recall watching Pak vs Eng in Karachi in 72/73. The match was abandoned due to rioting and we got out by the skin of our teeth in the back of an old Bedford truck carrying riot Police, who were also running for it. I can recall having a pint with Pat Pocock and Barry Wood after the match at the Intercontinental Hotel but I can't find a reference to it anywhere on the web but there is a reference to a match being abandoned in 69. I certainly wasn't in Karachi in 69. Can any cricketing buffs shed any light on this match?
