100 for Jennings, what a great season he's had with the bat, 150 partnership with Croft to boot, 246-2.

100 for Hameed as well and Notts well on course to secure promotion from division 2.

Is it still 3 down at the bottom?

Most be some nervous cockney glory hunters about….. or are the all off supporting the ladies teams and snack league franchises like a lot of my Yorkshire mater?

150 for Jennings, Lancs 330-5.

Yorkies probably gonna survive, but if they do that would send Warwickshire and Alex Davies down I think.

That would be the Alex Davies who said he was leaving Lancashire to join Warwickshire because he wanted to win things.

Jennings is surely playing himself back in to test match reckoning on this form.

Alex Davies has had so many single figure scores this season, hate to see it.

Looks as though he’ll finish as top run scorer in the competition.
Not bad after missing 3 games.

I know Alex through school circles, he went to QEGS in Blackburn. Unfortunately he’s a big Rovers fan too. Not sure what went on at Lancs as he loved playing for them.

Surrey 1/0 at lunch from 1 over

Not one bit of common sense in cricket is ever used, just take lunch without everyone coming out for 6 balls then going back in.

Surrey 96/4 at tea, 2 wickets for Bailey, 1 for Balderson and Williams.

1233 runs now in the Championship (average 72.5). Next, irrespective of Divi 1 or 2 - Ben Compton on 1193 (@54.2), Sam Northeast on 1189 (@59.5), Hameed on 1186 (@56.5).
Second division I know but that's a decent showing from Hameed.
(Having said which Pujara scored 1094 for Sussex at 109.4!)

Keaton may well not get another bat in this game though I guess.

I think he'll be safe now. Compton isn't playing for Kent in this match, and the other two - Northeast at Glamorgan who are currently 532/8 and Hameed at Notts who are 650/4. Unlikely either will bat again you'd imagine.

Warwickshire and Kent in decent positions, Yorkshire 135 behind in a low scoring game….. nervy nervy

Whilst I accept that there are rules but surely between the umpires and the 2 captains they could have used some common sense and agreed to take a slightly early lunch!

You try telling the tea lady she has to have everything ready 20 minutes early. Just because some batters can't keep their wicket.

Braver man than me.

Meanwhile.... in the race to the bottom.... Yorkshire have bowled out Gloucester, and require 241 to win.

Warwickshire, having declared at 272/4 due to weather pressure, have got Hants 55/3 in reply.

Nervy times for the Glory Hunters..... Nervy times.

And Lancs have finally had some success in Surrey's 2nd innings. Both openers now gone, Burns at 89/1, Patel at 107/2.
Surrey 122/2 now still c. 180 adrift.

Surrey now 147/7 some 156 runs behind. Admittedly very much after the Lord Mayor's Show tackle from them, but still looking to be a great end to the season for Lancs.

Surrey 9 down, should be all over tonight.....

Meanwhile, it looks like Yorkshire are going to weasel their way to a 2nd (SECOND) win of the season - Bess taking them home - 27 needed, 1 wicket remaining.

Great win by Lancs, no mean feat to beat the champions by an innings and inflict their 1st defeat of the season.

Meanwhile Yorkshire look like they might just escape the dreaded drop thanks to Hampshire and the weather, crazy that a side who have only won 1 CC match could survive, and their solitary victory came against Gloucs way back at the start of the season.
