Still Barnes on the bench… where is Dervisoglu now? Another injury it seems.

Wonder if Taylor is seen as a better option against certain teams?

What's happened to the striker on loan from Brentford, we've resorted back to Barnes

Happy to see Benson and Beyer come in but still prefer Maatsen to Vitinho. Big worry is still that Barnes will be the player to come on if Jay goes off

Squad rotation, it's not about being dropped.
We need to keep the whole squad match-sharp.

Wasn’t the last game Taylor’s first since his return from injury? He shouldn’t need resting.

It’s not hate. He’s just not good enough at this level. And it’s painfully obvious.

Certainly glad to see Benson and Beyer come in.
But yes, tough on Charlie.
Stoke were abysmal against Watford, we should be putting them to the sword ....hopefully.

Brave move dropping Taylor considering he was our best player on Saturday.

Assume BPF played first half and Muric the second. Both were shocking
FCBurnley wrote: ↑Fri Aug 12, 2022 8:44 pm
Muric still to make his first save of the season
FCBurnley wrote: ↑Sat Aug 27, 2022 3:50 pm
Muric is seriously poor.
FCBurnley wrote: ↑Tue Sep 13, 2022 8:53 pm
Muric clearly at fault for the goal. Has had nothing to do again but still manages to concede.
FCBurnley wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 3:32 pm
Muric is a joke

How many points is Muric going to cost us.

Perhaps he has a knock.
In any case Beyer needs game time too.

Vitinho is a better defender than Maatsen but Taylor should have been starting in that position
OK to rotate the squad but a win would be good tonight and the team is weakened without Taylor

Neil will have these up for tonight after their awful showing against Watford. They are not THAT bad.
We need to be up and at them from minute one.

Joe Hart won’t be making a GS squad anytime soon after the nightmare he’s just had for Celtic. Passes a simple pass straight to the RBL player who feeds in his teammate to give them a 2-1 lead.

Very harsh on Taylor but probably the right decision with Maatsen.
I'd love more than anyone for Barnes to start rattling a few in, but the reality is I've been feeling that way for a long long while now and it's just not happening/happened. The evidence sadly suggests he just isn't up to it anymore even with the drop in level. He's so far from the player that people were touting for an England call up it's hard to watch, there's no harsh feelings or vitriol intended, I'd just rather he either proved me wrong or Kompany stops selecting him.
