Are we a better away side?

Post by Tricky Trevor » Sat Oct 08, 2022 7:03 pm

With 3 away wins and only 2 at home I’d suggest yes.
At home nobody has taken us on, just sit back allow us the ball and make it look easy with us refusing numerous crossing opportunities.
Away they are expected to come out more by the home support creating spaces that we seem capable of taking advantage from. On top of the wins we had several chances to put WBA away and were unlucky not to sneak a draw at Watford in the final 10 minutes.
Two points from top spot after the mixed start we’ve had is excellent and only one defeat is a credit to everybody involved.

We've played 6 at home and 7 away.

Luton took us on first 20 minutes of the game and we were all over the place.
Blackpool run us ragged 2nd half.

But you are on the right lines.

We haven’t lost at home.

Don’t think it makes much difference and that is a strength.

Difficult to say.

We are more likely to get the opposition parking the bus at Turf Moor.

We were playing bottom of the league and looked exactly the same as we have all season - some good, some bad but a lack of 2nd goal is worrying me.

Swansea will be a test....... 5 straight wins... Let's see if they park the bus.

The last 2 games has seen our opponents have 11 men behind the ball for the first hour or so. They were both away games. They denied us space and definitely didn't come out and attack. More teams will do this, knowing that we can't finish off a game.

Coventry didn't have a shot on target and we dominated the ball (away from home).
