Terrific win for Scotland beating the West Indies by 42 runs, every chance that they will qualify for the main event now.
And it's not out of the question SL and WI both miss out altogether.

Scotland post a modest 132-6, however they have got 2 early wickets to keep it interesting.

Scotland crash out typical of them to blow it when it matters.
Well done Ireland who are now becoming a solid force in the white ball formats.

The proper party starts tomorrow! Australia finally managed to sabotage one of their players to get Cameron Green in the squad. Iβm going for Zampa to be player of the tournament.

When much younger, I would always support Scotland if they were in an International Tournament, notably the 1974 & 1978 World Cups ..
Now in my late fifties, four decades of anti-English bile from our Caledonian friends have taken their toll, so yes, f*** 'em ! They will have exited another World Cup at the group stage by 7.00am tomorrow morning, when their womens Rugby team will have lost by a margin to the " Black Ferns " of New Zealand, and will be returning to the land of Irn Bru & midges ...

Just realised, if Italy beat Fiji in the Rugby League World Cup tomorrow, that will make it 3 exits from World Cup Group stages in around 36 hours ....

NZ setting a testing target for the Aussies 200-3 they made, and they've dismissed Warner early.

New Zealand have opened the Super 12 in a good fashion. Scored 200 for 3 in their 20 overs after getting off to a blistering start.
Australia are now 7 for 1 off two overs with David Warner swinging at a delivery, bottom edge onto the pad and then bounced off the pad, back onto the bat which was above his shoulder and then abck dwon onto the stumps. Most unusual 'bowled' I have seen.

Would it be better for them to go for it and lose wickets quickly, their net run rate could take a pounding this match?

Always a pleasure to see the Aussies hammered.
England win toss and choose to bowl.

Wood strikes with his 1st delivery, 15-1 in the 3rd.
Wood bowling quickly again which is great to see.

Sri Lanka beat Ireland by 9 wickets.
India-Pakistan rather lively in the early stages in front of a huge crowd at the MCG.
Pakistan 35-2 in the 7th with both prolific openers back in the hutch.

Bit of a recovery from Pakistan 159-7 from their 20, which with their strong seam attack gives them a chance anyway.

Agreed. In fact Iβd say thatβs a damn good recovery after where they were after ten overs and having had their PP
