Burnley and QPR vying for top spot? I know irs early days yet, but if we pip QPR in May of next year, it will be exactly 50 years since that memorable day at Deepdale when we won the second division (now Championship) title in the 72/73 season.

I think QPR will do well to sustain this form if Beale goes to Wolves.

Bring back the League Liner.
I’ll be uploading pictures of the league liner to our website, BCTHIC.com. Plenty of BFC photos already there

With seven London teams already in the top division plus London by the sea Brighton the league is already over populated with them without QPR joing in .

Ist year at Edgehill I managed to see every match that season. Happy days when trainee teachers got grants not debts

Thought that myself, then I thought I would prefer the boyz down the road to go up with us, just so we can tub in the Premier League as well.

I'd been thinking same thing. My second season of watching, seems like yesterday, 50 years ago makes me feel old.

I guess at a meager 47 years of attending church I should feel young in comparison

So you are to blame for another Rovers supporter? Or two if it was twins!

Ahhh youth…happy days.
I went out with several Blackburn girls in the 80’s one of them a true blue rovers fan. Despite that, she was gorgeous in every sense. It didn’t make the slightest difference to how I felt about rovers at the time. Funny how it didn’t last.

We did in October 1972. He had scored 4 goals for us in Division 2 at the time and we had drawn at home to QPR in early September with Viv Busby scoring for them and Frank Casper equalising 3 minutes later.
We lost 0-2 at QPR with goals coming from Leach and Givens in January 1973.

I went to the away game. Good following. Took the main boozer over. Tried to take the Loft, but the Old Bill moved us round to the open end. On the way back, the coach in front had its windows bricked. The QPR were found and dealt with. Cold run home for the poor lads in that coach.
