Imo worth move for in January
Leads the line well with an eye for a goal
He also links the play well.Wigan are skint so we could pick up a bargain here.

I’m sure VK would want to sign a29 yr old, slow striker/attacking mid that has bounced around the championship and league one ….

he's ok, but he'd not play at all if we were promoted

In his favour he's having his best ever season at this level, but against him he's currently already had his best ever season at this level.

Whoever VK decides to bring in is ok with me. He obviously has an eye for a player, one who fits into the squad and brings something to the party.
I honestly do not think that Will Keane fits that bill.

Someone more learned than me can confirm, but I think he scored for PNE in our last Championship home defeat way back in 2015.

He also scored over 20 goals in the Championship last season

Not sure what our budget for a new centre forward is in January, but Jerry Yates has to be worth a look? Struggled (well, got 8) in his first season in the Championship but is current joint top scorer with Jay and a few others. Blackpool can’t afford to turn down semi-decent money and he’d be gagging for the move, good age too. I’d take him for £3-4m personally.
Wouldn’t be shocked if we’re straight back in for Obafemi though or the young lad Mikautadze who we apparently put a few bids in for at Metz. Looks like he has started well since those bids in Ligue 2.

Considering we were trying to throw 9 million at Swansea there's every chance we will pluck another gem from Europe in January

Yates would be a great pick up if our budget stretches that far however I can other suitors pursuing him after his impressive start to the season.

Priority for me in Jan would be to try and get Tella, Maatsen and Bayer signed permanently. To get 2 of them signed would be amazing.
Can’t see City giving us THB so no point trying.

Why would we want to sign them when we have them to the end of the season

some of our fans perhaps still don't understand the business model. Will Keane is not it. Sure, getting promoted is a strategy within the model, but not to the extent of signing a player that goes against the model

Wasn't that what we did with Ben Mee & Tripps from City before ... If we could sign them all in January permanently I would snap Soton, City and Chelskis hands off

might be cheaper than waiting till we are promoted in early April

Considering 3/4 of the back four that started on Tuesday are loan players, I’d like to get a few of them signed up ready for next season rather than starting afresh again.

We need to use what little money we have on strengthening the squad on newbies not existing loan players
