They will start the game coming at us, almost guaranteed. If we can calm the game down and play the game our way, then who knows. But the defence will need to be on form until we get a hold of the game.

Brownhill will be a huge and possibly crucial loss in this particular game unfortunately.

I'd take a draw today, be a tough one, Sheff Utd have hit a bit of form but they haven't played us yet and though we are prone to a defensive error we have the best attack in the league and our lads never give up so I'm hopeful

Was it Newcastle or KRBFC who used to bang on about how crap he was?

Newcastle and he's gone rather quiet of late regarding Brownhill strangely.

Snap your hands off for a draw today, then we have a week to recover before the Rovers game

I’m sure we will score today so defence is key to us getting a win. I wouldn’t mind us playing more cautiously for an hour then bring on the subs to run them ragged.

I really hope Jay is in the team. We all saw against Sunderland just how poor Barnes is. If he isn’t playing I’d start Tella down the middle with Zaroury and JBG on the wings

Seen a video of the players arriving, Cullen was on it and looked to have his manbag so hopefully a sign he will be involved.

But we also saw how Ashley Barnes volleyed the ball into the goal on Wednesday night. Pity it was offside.

As happy as I am to see Benny starting, I’m also sad we cannot bring him on as a substitute.
Can we clone him?

I'd have gone with more defensive solidity and height to start off, with Taylor, JBG, and Dervisoglu starting.
I can see us running into problems with that side but I hope to be proved wrong.

Given their mix of experience, physicality and decent players, this game will be a good test of how far along our team is in its development.

Today we will find out if total football with tiddlers can beat physicality. A day to keep their corners, crosses and free kicks in our half to a minimum

We won't know until we kick off, but expecting a bit more defending against Sheff U, which is why I'd have gone with Roberts and Taylor.
I hope it doesn't cost us not having a more physical presence on our flanks.
OR I hope VK has called this one right. Maybe it's a case of you score 3, we'll score 4.
Come on Burnley.......

Must admit I'm nervous today. Brownhill and Rodriguez both big losses and the bench is looking a bit weaker that at the start of the season. In an attacking sense there's only Barnes, Gudmundsson and Dersiviglou to bring on and I'm not sure Barnes or Gudmundsson are what I would describe as impact subs. We could do with Twine appearing soon.

Amazing how hardly anybody has mentioned how much a bonus it is for Cullen to start. Far too busy picking out as many flaws as possible.

Crazy suggestion, but maybe, just maybe, Vinny has scouted the Blades and decided that their defence will struggle with pace and movement more than a larger physical threat considering they’re all tall?

Sheffield vs WBA was the pre Reading match game on TV last week and Ndiaye looked a very slippery, strong and effective customer. Burnley will need to get a firm grip of him else he could run riot.

Tella and Vitinho looked knackered on Wednesday. I’d have given them both a rest.

Fotmob has it as Benson up front - assume it's an error and its Tella.

Surprised Vitinho kept his place, would’ve gone Roberts for today. Cullen back is a big plus. Jay Rod out is a big loss. You can’t say Benson doesn’t deserve a start. Need to get runners into that box, we’re sometimes a bit barren in there even when Jay plays. Not so fussed about the physicality or lack there of, we’re never going to be fighting on that front. Big game for Bastien - tough opponent and I must admit jury is still out, for me.
Lots of quality there though - would be a happy with a draw but we absolutely can win.

Don’t get the fear on here, after not having a win since Sept 17th they’ve beat a poor WBA and got a fortunate win at Brizzle.
They will come at us early but with Cullen and Cork in front of our back 4 we’ll be reyt.
Need to pinch one at t’other end to make it a great day.
Not sure of our line up as published. More likely Tella up front and Benson wide right.

Think mobility against their defence is a good thing ...Cullen Cork and Bastien in midfield iis a match for their middle of the park
Defending against corners and set pieces could be the main problem...
I would take 2 draws or 3 points from the next 2 games ...think from a season perspective the better win would be against the blades ...
Hopefully no early goal against...
