How are you feeling about Sunday?

Every time a game against them is coming back it just takes my memory back right from childhood up to 2010 when the years were building up from their fans in the songs up to the ‘Burnley’s going down, forever’ when the PA decided to play All Together Now on the Turf in that awful game.
How’s the feeling for this weekend? Nerves, confidence, excitement or it’s just another game?

I never want to have to experience losing to them again such was the pain of those years you mention. It will happen at some point but I always get nervous before playing them.
I want to see us absolutely thrash them. A 5-0 reverse culminating in their slide down the table will do nicely

Not been looking forward to it for a while now. The thought of losing to them is something I don't like. Never actually seen us beat them live as saw all the wins on TV so would like it if that run was broken on Sunday.
IF we are at our best then we are capable of taking them apart. If they come at us with intensity and physicality without going too far then it could be a very tough game.

What will be will be
if we turn up and play like we can, then we probably win
If we don't, then we probably don't

We are pretty much at full strength I think, decent 8 day rest for the first time in a while and I’m certain the team will want to bounce back from Sheffield. I think we’ll play the same system we played at home to Swansea, and hopefully deliver the same performance and result.

Hate these games and never look forward to them. I think if we play to our capabilities we will win but 100% there will be plenty of nervy moments. We won’t have it all our own way.
Both teams have young inexperienced players, many of which won’t have played in a derby game like this before. It will be a stern test and one hopefully our players can stand up to. I’d predict both teams to be quite cagey, especially first half. If I had to call the result I’d go with 1-1

11 changes? If I was going I'd be happy to bet you a pint per change and we'd both be nicely drunk by half time.
I reckon 5 out of the starting XI also start. 10 imaginary internet points to whoever is right, just for fun.

Rovers lad at work is telling me how they have Rovers fans in their team and quite a few who've been at the club so long that it makes them Rovers fans as well. He also says a group of fans stayed behind on Saturday to see their players as they left the ground to remind them that they can't lose on Sunday.
He reckons that the majority of our team won't have a clue about the rivalry and that it will give them an advantage.

Don’t enjoy the games or lead up to them, usually wake up around 5am with a dodgy stomach, feel a wreck during the whole game.
Be glad when it’s over, I’d rather not play them

I feel absolutely awful. IMO last Saturday’s result had been coming for a while. I hope this doesn’t prove to be our Achilles heel and the thought of Blackburn exposing us as well makes me feel sick. I hope we’ve learnt our lesson. I’ve tried to think it just another game and not important not defining our season. However, if we lose I’ll be gutted. I don’t hate Blackburn Rovers I just don’t like Blackburn. I think it goes back to my childhood being dragged round British Home Stores there. And they can’t say “fairy”. They always say “furry”.

I would say that would work the opposite way tbh, our lads can just play, they can get all the bookings, get reduced to 9 men and we can score 7
edit: I'm calm, it's worth 3 points and no more

Was confident. Nervous now. We're the better side though and if we play at or close to our best then we should win. Preview coming soon on episode two of lanclasico.com - and a bonus chat with a player who played for both sides.

I hope this week lasts for ever. There is far too much at stake and the thought of Ayala, Gallagher and Diaz on set pieces after Saturday’s debacle freezes the blood. We could of course score first and really put them to the sword but it’s hard to be confident when we have proved so shaky all season at a key part of the game.

Just another match which we will be losing 3-0 after 20 mins and then the CFS cokeheads will kick off and the match will be abandoned.
We will be docked 10 points and have to play 3 games behind closed because a bunch of knuckle draggers are committed to a fantasy rivalry that belongs in the last century. Football has moved on this **** hasn't.

They are no Sheffield utd for a starters ! They were very lucky to get a result against Birmingham the other week, and Coventry should of been out of site by half time against them their defence was all over the place !
Watched a fair bit of their game against Huddersfield too and they struggled with them at times. As others have said they are a young side with mistakes in them being carried by Brereton's goals. Keep him quiet and we should be beating them.

Just another game for me...Will be for the players and VK too..I find if you do not gloat too much when you win ...you do not suffer too much when you lose ..
Even if we lose it has been a good first half of the season....a striker and a centre half and possibly a central midfielder required for me in the window...
I would get another goalkeeper but I think VK will stick with Muric ...I think he would do better with a big commanding centre half in front of him
For me when Ings scored it really meant something but there is nearly half a season left after Sunday ..
I just hope everyone enjoys the game and gets home safely and there is no crowd trouble...there really should not be..you need to deal with success and disappointment with a calm head and hopefully the minutes silence for poppy day is respected too..
I can remember watching a 1-0 defeat from the cricket field stand late 70s on boxing day ..i was young and disappointed ..but fighting over a football match is just as stupid and pointless as fighting to sit on the back seat of the school bus ...hooliganism was a product of the times we lived in the 70s and 80s there is no similar undertone to life now.. for me hatred of Blackburn is way over the top...
In the day I did not like Jack Holden on Radio Blackburn or Simon Garner on the pitch...I have never really warmed to Dalglish after he took Jack Walkers money ...
I was at Ewood Park when they were relegated and that was a bit of karma ..but I will not be part of the Sky Sports generation and build every game up to life and death..Bill Shankly was a true great but for me Clarets v Rovers is not as important as life and death...I used to take until Monday midmorning to get over a defeat...I am generally over it by the time my beautiful young wife gets home from work and takes me yo bed

As said a few posts up, their aerial and dead ball threat at set pieces could be a big factor for them,
we simply have to try to counter that and not do anything stupid around the box. (Or indeed, in it.)
However, I believe we have the better team overall, so it's up to us to take it to them
with players like Benson, Zaroury Tella turning it on.
Im pretty confident we will.

We clearly have the better team by far. But my concern is that they will be very physical and try and take out players like Benson and Zaroury. Sheff U showed them exactly how to play against us. Get the big guys up front and lump it in there under Murics bar. Hopefully VK will have figured it out and we can destroy them.

Got a day off the next day, so because it starts at 9:30pm here, I'll be able to watch it and have a good few. Also, I'm not from Burnley, being a West Yorkshire Claret, so don't really feel the rivalry the same.
Still, I'll have a bit of extra pain if we lose. I'm now more worried after the defending against Sheffield. Let's hope we're clinical and get a couple ahead.

Easier for exiled Clarets. You can go to the game and embrace the tension and everything else. But if we lose you can go home and switch off to football for a month, with it being that daft Qatari Cup thing next. Nobody outside East Lancs cares so you won't get any grief.
But if you win, you can still replay the game for 4 weeks. Having said that, I have got PTSD thinking about us conceding a corner after Saturday.

Strangely calm so far. I think if we focus on our strengths (keep the ball well, move it around quickly, exploit the pace on the flanks) we can really hurt them on Sunday. We obviously need to defend much better than we did on Saturday, but I think we will do. If we can dominate possession the way we have been doing for most of the season we can vastly reduce the amount of goal scoring opportunities they get.
I might be feeling it come the weekend, though.

I’m quietly confident of a relatively boring 0-0 draw.
That said, I’ll take any improvement over the last result.
Heart says comfortable 2-0 win without going through the gears, as I don’t think they’re as good as they think they are and we could be as good as we think we are.
Head says just don’t bloody lose…

Fine. If we have all the players available and rested we’ll be okay. I hope he plays a full second group tonight. Will rovers put a decent team out against the hammers tomorrow night, hopefully they do and it benefits us.
