Rotherham United - it’s a love affair.

Nice one, Rotherham. An unexpected result that takes the sting out of Saturday's defeat a wee bit. Bring on The Them.

But aren’t Sheff Utd ‘arguably’ the best team in the division? Don’t be so disrespectful.

Championship can be bonkers can’t it.

We beat Rotherham, Sheffield beat us 5-2, Rotherham beat Sheffield 1-0, all within a week!

I warned my mate from work (a Blade) not to be so sure about tonight. Rotherham didn’t look such a bad side when we played them.

If Rotherham had continued just playing football against us they’d have at least drawn.

Good team.

Said the same to my lot at HT, I think Rotherham are a solid side, not at all surprised by the result

To be fair this has to be the result of the night. I hope this spurs them on cos I don’t mind Huddersfield at all. A bit like us in many ways and we always have a good day out there.

There was nothing in it the first half we were arguably the slightly better side. Just that 30 min period in the second half and we had no steam left to counter them. That’s all it was. I think we will do them at home.

Sheff Utd just keep putting balls into the box, hoping they win them and they drop to one of their players. Tonight they played a team who defended the bombardment well.

Yep, just like against us, they created loads of corners. (12 tonight.) But Rotherham can defend corners.

Sheff Utd will be in the mix, as will Norwich and Watford likely along with Burnley, they are the 4 who have the deepest squads which will be telling as the season progresses.

The other 2 to contest the play-offs I honestly have no idea as it's so bunched in that area of the table, if I had to guess I'd plump for Rovers and Swans, but not with any great confidence.

I could be wrong bud but I think you may have missed my slightly ironic tone. Just to clear up any misunderstanding totally agree with you. 😁

To be honest I wouldn’t mind Rovers going up with us because it would make a great PL game and it’s good for the area football wise, but something tells me (mainly a lot of Rovers who I know) that they will have their annual new year collapse. I know a lot of them and they aren’t getting too excited just now because many genuinely believe after Christmas the game is up for them.

Incidentally does anyone still believe WBA are going to mount a late challenge? Some did at one time and they still seem to be the darlings of the media. I’m just waiting for someone to finally admit they are cr*p. Still stinging about their 98th minute equaliser.

They are nothing special ....be surprised if they finish top two.

Watford are a worry for me. Deep squad, quality and coming good for a good manager.

The only reason it would be good to see Rovers promoted is we might finally be able to chalk up a PL win against them for the 1st time.
