Is that an attempt at them being your friendly, local Bobby?

I’m probably being very old fashioned but it just seems wrong using “yea mate”. I probably wouldn’t have been quite so irked if they’d added a bloody h to yea!

It's condescending, isn't it.

I used to have someone at work who constantly lied, and you could tell because he used to end his sentences with 'Pal'. He's long gone now, but we still use that term as code when we're bullshitting each other. The other is when we know someone is wrong, we'll let them know by saying 'fella' somewhere in the conversation.

Is it such a big job just to keep the Rovers fans in the ground for 20mins after the game.

Happened so many times to Burnley fans over the years across the leagues but I don’t remember us ever doing it.

I’d imagine there are quite a few Rovers fans that would appreciate that as well.

Hope we can get down to Yorkshire Street easily and onto the TKMaxx car park as thats where the Mrs is picking us up after the game...

One of our group is in the Jimmy Mac ... so will have to find him after the game as he hasn't been with us meeting there before 🙄 and with the Cordon on Harry Potts Way it might be fun.

Last time we turned right out of the cricket field entrance for a hundred yards, cross over using the side streets it brings you out at the side of the 110 club.

This is from 2013, I expect something similar for Sunday's game.

I still have my tickets for that fixture sealed in an envelope, unused. My Dad passed away that week so it didnt seem right going. I bet there aren't many unused Burnley v Blackburn tickets around.

Police have said Belvedere Road is closed from Harry Potts way traffic lights to the traffic lights near the fire station for away coaches with no way of getting in and out for residents living there with there cars from 8am so I expect the entrance and exit for home fans next to the cricket club will be closed off.

If true then there is going to be a bit of an issue by the club shop corner if all the JH stand has to exit that way as well as the JM. Would be crazy.

Think they've also said Harry Potts Way is closed off to home fans right down to the away turnstiles, the only way I can think of home fans getting in now is all down the next road down and past the park view chippy/pub. Like you say could cause an issue with 20k trying to get out of that exit, it's not the best on a normal matchday

Yes this would be crazy and I am sure it will not be the case. The closure up to the fire station will be for VEHICLES to allow for the erection of the barriers.

It’ll be fine. They did exactly the same thing before and there were no issues. Just go down one of the side streets across the road.

The entrance to the cricket club will still be open like it always has been for Blackburn games.

See the map posted earlier.

And we have a car or two, with engines running, trying to edge through too.

The entrance down Ormerod Yard and the Cricket Club car park entrance will be open. The Barrier will be erected just before the CC entrance.
