Good luck Clarets, a long way off the team I would have chosen. I never thought we’d start the big Derby with Barnes who has been simply awful this season

Barnes to hopefully turn up and bully the Rovers defence.
He knows what this game means to the fans and with a bit of luck he puts in a proper performance.

He has also gone with Vitinho and Maatsen... Hope this pays off, but at least it's positive.

I thought that, when Rodriguez went off, it was going to be a fairly lengthy lay off.

This is the one. For old time's sake I really hope Barnsey gets an early one here.

Wow Barnes in a Tella on the bench.
Can only assume it's a knock? Or Barnes to slow down and frustrate play (getting marked by 2 defenders) to then have Tella second half to go at 2 tired defenders?
Defo no the team I'd have picked but I have faith. UTC

Barnes starting will be the big talking point, a great chance for Ash to silence his critics today.
Options on the bench if needed however, though hopefully they won't be required.

Barnes to be either a hero or a villain by 2.30pm.
Anybodys guess.

Cripes
I was nervous. Now I'm bricking it.
I'd grab a point now with both hands were it offered!
Settling in shortly behind the sofa....

Their players may be put off by the sight of a full stadium.

Ultimately I don't care who scores as long as we win today but it would be lovely to see Barnes hit the back of the net against this lot.

Think we will either win comfortably or lose 1-0. Lot will depend if they take out our wide men. We need to stay calm and not get involved. Just use our skill and pace

At the Turf
Brilliant atmosphere building up.
Bit of overkill from police maybe?
Really hoping to see a different Barnes performance from the Barnes of old......
Optimistic, so long as can inflict our passing game on them, strong ref (?) and Muric dominates the box better

I Have 101% in our managers team selection decision
Tella I am guessing is not fully fit
I also know Super Ashley Barnes will give 101% and I really hope he scores and that we win this match.

Jay out is a huge blow. Tella was AWOL last week - not alone though - and he's gone for a man who will put them under pressure. Barnsey can also head a football so will be important defending corners. I'd have picked BPF but there you go.

We'll we're defo gonna concede first on season form

Really wanted a tighter defence than last Saturday. And I hope to god they have prepped set piece corners / balls at back post.
Get the ball, smoother them, score multiple. Don't mind conceding if we do that.

Looking at the Rover’s line up there is cause for optimism. They are fielding two very young inexperienced players in the shape of Garrett and Mola the left back. The latter has made six starts for Stuttgart and none for Rovers and that’s it. He’s up against Benson.
Garrett is a 19 year old Blackburn youth and has made one start. Looks like one of their key players Szmodics is injured.
Come on you Clarets!
