Can get cold at that time of year. If you want guaranteed sun/warmth the Canary Islands might be a better option.

Avoid the Billy Britain parts of it like Benidorm and Benalmádena.

Of you go to the Costa del Sol you have 5 or 6 really good places to go with decent transport links.

Malaga
Benalmedena (Clarets pub to watch the games)
Fuerengirola
Marbella
Plus the smaller places

With the hotel websites these days you could book a week in each or take it day by day.

Had a week in Fuerteventura in November, 25 degrees all week. Flights are pretty cheap. Saw the customary Burnley shirt sat in a bar on our last day, the Mrs gave him a UTC shout, a big cheer in response.

Benidorm in Winter is not Benidorm in Summer.
Everything you could want. Beach in front, mountains behind, train to Alicante, bus to Altea market, cheap food & booze and shows in the evening.

Depends if you want beach or country?

If the latter then Seville is fairly pleasant and is close to national parks where you can see Iberian Lynx, eagles and vultures

Same with anywhere along the Costa Del Sol. My mum lived out there (La Cala/Elviria) for some 14 years…………..we still go, and generally stay in Mijas but go down to the coast including fuengirola, Torre, it’s a fab area………

Weather can be a bit hit and miss but if the suns out it’ll be fab.

Used to live in Sotogrande, "a hidden gem" just past Marbella. Loads to do but very relaxed. Gibraltar worth a visit for a day trip too - not everyone's cup of tea but worth a day trip. All accessible from Sotogrande or the Estepona area.

Love Seville. A decent base for Cordoba etc. Easy to get a train from there…

I went to Benalmadena and Torrimolinos this Febuary and it was a nice chilled holiday but with very little going on.
Benidorm gets a lot of bad press, but normally from people who have never been. I just got back from Benidorm and the weather is similar to the costa del sol, due to Benidorm's micro climate, but there is a lot more to do and Benidorm has some nice quiet areas as well as the lively ones.
The food in Benidorm is varied and good value, as are drinks, with around 2000 bars! 2 lovely blue flag beaches with nice promenades, good transport links to surrounding towns and allsorts of entertainment.
Obviously, the canaries are usually better for winter weather, but much more expensive and less to do. Each to their own, but Benidorm for me

La Cala is a lovely little coastal town, not too touristy but still plenty going on.

Your on a sticky wicket with that post. Is there a better way of learning the flags of the world?

Good on ya. I’ve driven down to Moraira and back 4 times, good days.

If its peace and quiet your loking for try Albbania. Hardly anybody left there now.

Seriously Spain can be pretty cool and wet in February. As suggested Canary Islands are warmer at that time.

Algarve is a better bet.

Estepona on Costa del Sol or Calpe on Costa Blanca, both beautiful places. Proper Spanish resorts, don’t expect to find any Rose and Crown or Red Lion British style pubs.

Is that show still going? I'd hope it is her daughter, or perhaps even grand daughter by now; it must be more than thirty years ago I saw that show.

No point driving down if you're just doing the coastal strip, so assume you're looking inland too?
Besides Ronda, prety much anywhere that ends with 'de la Frontera seems good, Arcos and Cortes especially Jerez too on a bigger scale; if you've got that far west don't miss Cadiz too. Seville's been mentioned, but Granada and Cordoba are great cities too
