And we get him for peanuts, if we get promoted, apparently. He oozes class. A Rolls-Royce of a defender!

Won't be long before he's gets a full international call up. So good at carrying the ball.

Still can hardly believe we're attracting players of his quality . Majestic footballer. Well done all involved in recruitment.

His ability/willingness to drive into space is just brilliant - really opens the pitch up for us and the opposition don't know whether to commit to him or stand off - if they commit he has the passing ability to find a free man and if they don't press him he simply keeps going.

Reads the game extremely well also - magnificent performance today.

Recruitment this summer has been phenomenal. Genuinely world class to uncover these players and get them at the price we did. It's a very promising sign.

Beyer was immense and has been for weeks.

Roberts dropping deep and more centrally alongside Harwood-Bellis allowed Beyer to go wider and forward on the other side. Bursting runs, with dribbling like a winger, and then picking the perfect pass. Boro couldn't handle it. Benson got the goals and we have a glorious set of attacking options. But the impetus for Burnley's win today came much from one of our centre halves.

I thought he changed us since the very first match he played for us. We changed from brittle at the back to assured. I've loved watching every game he's has played in.

Completely agree with this. Has been outstanding before and after the break. Turning in to a player of the season contender in my opinion.

Been a great signing and is improving game on game. He was fantastic agains QPR then followed up with his best game for us. Looks the more Premier League ready of our two centre halves to me. Hope reports that we have the option to buy are correct.

I do wonder; have the new owners got the people in place to recruit so well or is it VK who knew exactly who he wanted to bring in? Either way, it's been an unbelievable transition so someone, somewhere, should be roundly applauded.

Afterthought - And if we lose THB, we've still got McNally in the wings. What a time to support this club.

Two good central defenders for the most part, BUT, they'll need to toughen up when Sheffield United come to town if we are to avoid another battering.

Muric will also need to up his game for that one.

His passing and ball carrying is eye catching but he’s almost always in the right position defensively too. And when they full backs are out of position he’s already there to cover. When he does, rarely, get caught out, he has a turn of pace to get back.

ALK and VK are very much aligned in their statistical, analytical and data driven approach to recruitment. We have several recruitment analysts who were going through 100s of names a day in the summer. But then the ‘final’ yes was by VK, and it sounds like this was a key part to him coming to us, having that control over transfers.

Yeah. ALK would've wanted to change how Burnley are perceived and players is a big part of that. If Dyche was still here he'd have signed Joe Allen because he knows the division and Peter Kay because he's good in the dressing room.

Mostly passes to his fellow defenders, although he did power forward more today.

Thanks RV. Whoever and however they've done the recruiting they really have done an amazing job.

The VK factor must have got a few over the line; you can tell they want to play for him so much.

Totally happy days!

Magnificent yesterday, my MOM. His runs, his passing, his long balls. At one point he was in their box looking to cross it, unreal. You could tell from the first game he played that he was class and perfect for the position we absolutely needed him to fit into. That triangle of Beyer, THB and Muric is so vital to how we play and they do it so well. The final, all important cog for the team that's looking likely to go up in style. What a coup for us.

My old army mate who still lives in Germany is a ST holder and loves “die fohlenelf”.
He reckons he was on the fringes of the first team and doing really well until the new manager came on and shipped him out. Reckons their manager doesn’t fancy him at all.
Their loss is most certainly our gain. Very good player indeed, and the two centre halves are starting to look like a unit.

For most of the season, I thought he was older and out of favour at Borussia Mönchengladbach and needed more minutes... I didn't realise that he is only 22!
