Anyway, so I watched Tar the other day (watch it, it's incredible) and thought it was almost perfect, but it hasn't had a huge amount of marketing and it's not too well known, despite it being probably the best film to come out this year. It'll be totally forgotten about in five or ten years, and so I'm looking for films like that which are bloody amazing but have been forgotten about over the years. Everyone knows your Apocalypse Nows and your Godfathers and your Shawshanks etc so what about lesser remembered ones?
yeah guess I wasn’t in a baroque mood that night. I’m the same with certain foreign language films such as Korean, and even black and white films. I go through spells of being in the mood for them and then go months without considering them. During the first lockdown summer I remember watching pretty much the whole Woody Allen back catalogue!
