Away win. Put your shirt on it and ease the pain.

Probably, but perhaps new manager bounce might come into play.

Kolo Toure's first home game.

Absolutely.

Win/win either way a home win dents Sheff Utd's promotion chase, draw would be fine also, but even an away win would put Sheff Utd well clear of Rovers in 3rd.

Plenty of smoke being blown up the blades backside by the commentary team - yeah they are only 6 points behind us.

Wigan started well then it all went wrong. Plenty of time for them to score two. :D

Sheff could rack up a score against this lot who look shocking at the back

Sheff Utd don't look that good at the back at the minute.

Might be wrong but Sheff Utd seem to score an awful lot from corners.

Scored the second most set pieces goals in the league behind Millwall

Sky also came up with some stats which appeared to show Sheffield United being superior to us in a number of categories. But they didn't show the one that matters.... The number of points each team has.

Honestly how poor is this Wigan side.

Not an ounce of quality

Yorkies could easily be 3 up.

It was stats for the last 50 games Heckingbottom has managed them in the Championship. We've not been in the Champ for the last 50 games so there was no comparison with us.

I’ve never seen that before. Player running around without his shirt on with the ball still in play.

A team with a bit of quality would’ve punished Sheff by now. It’s a shame 90% of the teams lack that quality.

Same, literally pulled his shirt off 😂

Surely that validates a pen for tugging of the shirt

That’s the point Sheffield can throw everyone forward because Wigan have nothing

I know the stats you are mentioning but the stats I referred to were shown earlier comparing us and Sheffield United.

Tbf the officiating at the World Cup, supposedly the worlds best, wasn’t great, bar the odd few. The ref in the France England game would have fit in nicely with the Championship.

Well Sky have just told us Sheffield United haven’t conceded since October 19th so I would pay too much heed to their stats (unless those goals we scored against them in November have been retrospectively disallowed).

The standard everywhere seems poor at the minute.

I just can’t understand how the ref can possibly not give a second yellow there.

Presume they meant away from home, they lost a few days after beating us as well.

The top two could be tied up in the next few games. The only serious challenger I see is Watford, but they'll be 7 points behind second after tonight.

They are going to win this.

If they also beat Coventry at home on Boxing Day, and manage a +6 goal difference over the two games, we'll be second going into the Birmingham game ( with a game in hand).
