Was in Morocco yesterday, parade for the fans and met the Royals. So, doubt he’s back yet, no.

No, its slightly frustrating that he's still away but you have to let him enjoy his moment with his team mates and family, they're once in a life time experiences and keeping him happy will only benefit us in the long run.

Probably flying back today. Looked proud as punch at the ceremony in Morocco. As mentioned above, this is a massive deal for him and a thriving and happy player is only going to benefit us moving forward.

Yep absolutely. He’ll be back in the squad (possibly even first 11) for Birmingham next week.

I would imagine he'll be wanting to spend his christmas with his family and friends!
I bet Conner Roberts is ****** off that the crossbar scuppered his own plans!

He has gained a huge social media following too which will be beneficial for Burnley off the field. He now has over 1 million followers on Instagram which is more than double that of the club.

We have several Muslim friends who celebrate Christmas, some of whom have gone down south to celebrate with their families

Charlie Taylor must be totally dispirited being brought on to play 5 minutes. He’s a quality player and I expect PL offers to come in for him over Christmas.

Seems likely.......Maatsen has the job. Good player but slows things down. IMO of course.

Oh well then.
Several hundred million don’t.
But you have some friends that do.
We’ll see which one is most likely then.

Just saying it is possible what the poster said, without the ridicule aimed at them...

I’m hoping we keep him, especially with Maatsen being a loan.

It's possible to "celebrate Christmas" without being a follower of Christ.
Plenty of people like to spend August Bank Holiday with family, but it's not because they're August-Bank-Holiday worshippers; just that when a public holiday is going on, they like to be on holiday with family. for the same reason, lots of followers of other religions in this country will still hope to celebrate Christmas with their families.

Imo two things strike me from this; Maatsen must have some playing time guarantee in the loan deal. Taylor has already indicated that he’d like to return to the Premier League, possibly a team bid for him and BFC turned it down until the January window.
