Beat me to it claretburns, wins for Blackpool & Boro would a bonus.claretburns wrote: ↑Thu Dec 29, 2022 6:22 pmA full schedule of League One and League Two games this evening along with 8 Championship games including Blackburn v Middlesbrough.

QPR seem to feeling the loss of Michael Neale, although their form was dipping prior to his departure.
Morecambe-Accy a vital relegation clash in League 1.

Re: Today's Football 29/12
Also Weghorst currently playing for Besiktas, been booked for unsportsmanlike conduct and just had a goal disallowed.
When checking the match I saw Nathan Redmond has come on as a substitute for Besiktas, had no idea he played for them!

Me neither! Apparently left on a free but wasn't out of contract as he did play once this season for Southampton.claretburns wrote: ↑Thu Dec 29, 2022 6:32 pm

Re: Today's Football 29/12
Sorry for repeating the oft-repeated but this season's Championship is so incredibly tight. Just two points between QPR and Luton before the match.
Only one team averageing two points per match and just one with less than one point per game.

Re: Today's Football 29/12
Ilias Chair is obviously quite handy, totally wasted though is this poor QPR team.
Re: Today's Football 29/12
I can't get over the fact that Watford in 4th are nearer relegation than the top.
Re: Today's Football 29/12
It seems half the Championship are chanting EIEIEIO

Cummon the Smoggies and the Lashers. Think I’ll be channel hopping via the red button. At least we get the last 15mins of SheffU unchallenged.

Dark horses for the play offs.
Re: Today's Football 29/12
Rovers take an early lead against Boro
Re: Today's Football 29/12
Are tonight's matches on the red button? It only gives me the Sheff Utd option.

May the Forss be hooked fairly soon. 4 times he’s had decent attacking positions and he’s screwed it up every one of them.

Re: Today's Football 29/12
Sheffield United looking vulnerable to crosses into the box!!!!!!
Re: Today's Football 29/12
Boro started well, a long punt forward, looked offside but goal stands.
No suitable replays on RoversTV...
Both sides look poor, Boro's 21 went through 1v1 and looked to have lead boots on
Rovers love a lump, and Boro cannot string 3 passes together, we really have nowt to fear if
A. 1 of these sides is 3rd
B. The other has won 4 of their last 5 games

Re: Today's Football 29/12
They have the best defensive record but when I have seen them they have looked dodgy. Wigan and Bristol City attacked them and they looked dodgy. Were lucky to get away with two wins.

In the 6 games since Sheffield United played us, 5 of their games have been against teams in the bottom 6.
They’ll have tougher tests to come.

Re: Today's Football 29/12
Considering how much we’re p!ssing this league, Sheff Utd are showing incredible consistency to keep pace with us.
Re: Today's Football 29/12
Yeah, without checking the league table as such, I thought they'd had some pretty poor opponents. Their games since the return from the World Cup break have been very kind.agreenwood wrote: ↑Thu Dec 29, 2022 8:40 pmIn the 6 games since Sheffield United played us, 5 of their games have been against teams in the bottom 6.

Re: Today's Football 29/12
How did the Seasiders draw with us?
Re: Today's Football 29/12
They drew 3.3 at Sheff Utd as well. Wasn't that the game with all the sending offs? Got a bit meaty at the end I think.

Red button up and running on 403. After you scroll left for match of choice go down to select “watch live”
Re: Today's Football 29/12
Boro score
Re: Today's Football 29/12
Wouldn't be as bad if Blackpool could keep hold of the ball. No pressure on them and still finding white shirts.

Buckley throws ball into McGrees face. Red card.
I was just going to post that ref had missed it whilst booking Crooks.
Well done lino or 4th.

Buckley has been sent off for Rovers. No idea what happened.
Re: Today's Football 29/12
I saw someone throw the ball into the back of a players head but that was a few minutes ago. Then he went to take a free kick and was sent off.
