We’ve now lost as many as they have this season in 2.5 championship seasons and they’re still 3rd and half way through… wow

Delusional for all their failings they will still be 3rd in the league tonight, don't they recall what happened when they potted Steve Kean when sat 3rd in the Championship.

I actually do hope they sack JDT because they ain't gonna attract a big name manager whatever they think.

What on earth are they expecting? He’s (somehow) managed to get them third in the league with a very ordinary squad. I can’t see any other manager doing better than that.

They must surely be the worst ever team to be in third position after 25 games .. even have a negative goal difference - truly extraordinary.

We've only lost as many league games this season as they've lost this week 😂 UTC

You have to go down to 22nd place til you find a team that's lost as many games.

Some of them were saying they weren't happy with him when they were 2nd. To the outsider he looks to have done a decent job imo, they are just deluded.

They wanted a perfectly decent manager in Mowbray out as well and look at the job he’s doing with the Mackems.

They're a dreadful football team. Crazy they're so high up the league.

Lost 4 of the last 5 league games, negative goal difference, lost more games than nearly every other team in the division, yet still 3rd. Got to be the most bizarre set of statistics ever.

They’ve lost just as many games as Blackpool - who are in the relegation zone

Once they started moaning about teams "buying the league" you knew that any chance of objectivity had long gone

And they've started piping up with that as soon as the results have turned, funny isn't it.

Still don't understand why they allowed Mowbrays contract to rundown/show him the door. He was quietly doing a steady rebuild job despite minimal resources.

What is the record for games played without a draw?

They have lost 4 out of the last five but still third!!

I cannot believe that Darwen Rovers are still 3rd losing practically half their games with negative GD.
Just shows the crap standard of this league I suppose.

They'd be happy with 3rd if it wasn't the fact we was sitting pretty in 1st place 😂

On current form by the end of January they could be looking nervously over their shoulder. there's always one early pace setter who drops off and a team who come from nowhere into the play offs.

That's pretty much nailed on tbh.
If we were further down the league and floundering then 3rd place would be great for them.
That we're smashing the league, and them, is what's bothering them

More bothered about how well we are doing rather than themselves

I think that team will be Coventry, infact I think the season will end like this, we will slightly drop off and Sheff utd will have a very strong end to the season with all the player's they've got coming back from injury

Sheff utd
Burnley

Middlesbrough
Watford
Coventry
West Brom

Their form is horrific.

When you consider they won their first 3 games of the season they’ve lost 12 of their last 22 games.

It’s truly bizarre that they either win or lose!

Keep him in, is it 5 now without a goal?

And there's no one else who bags with any sort of consistency.

I'd rather they played him who CBA and giving 70% effort than someone hungry and giving 100%

Thought he was really poor against us. Their star man, heard a lot about him, but was a total lump.

“Playing with Pace on the break”- I’m a bit surprised in Pace to be honest. Other agents have been slightly more covert

I don’t buy into this crap standard in the championship, it’s the same every year, any team can beat anyone else on the day, it’s always been like it and usually one or two pull away…. Rovers being 3rd though with their stats is weird, I’ll give u that

It's all down to this slightly perverse rule of 3 points for a win. Under the old 2-points-for-a-win system, and in any other sport, winning half your games and losing the other half would quite rightly leave you in mid-table. Rovers are nowt but a mid-table side really.

The 25 games without a draw is truly extraordinary.
They started the season turning draws into wins but now they turn draws into defeats.

Exactly, you hear this all the time. The league is the same level every single year, it’s made up of hundreds of players not quite good enough for the Prem and a few on daft contracts who don’t need to move.

The idea this standard somehow varies drastically from one season to the next is bizarre.

The standard is only worse because its us, Watford and Norwich who were relegated. If it was Everton, Leeds and Southampton then it'd be considered a strong championship this season.

And only one of the relegated sides (us) has been consistently good. We've been brilliant. But it's a poor league with sides regularly trying to pass it about because it's trendy, but without the players capable of doing it. I know we make teams look bad but I've been amazed at the amount of overhit passes straight out of play.

One of the weaker sides we’ve faced ( though not the worst ) this season . They could easily be 14/15th by mid Jan .
