Off to Holland this weekend to take in a weekend of matches:
> Friday 13th: Den Haag vs Maastricht
> Saturday 14th: Ajax vs Twente
> Sunday 15th: Vitesse vs Nijmegen [Local Derby)
Any hints, tips, suggestions …. both relative to the match-day experiences & also the cities/towns of The Hague, Arnhem & the Dam ( not bothered for coffee-shops or hookers)
TIA

Hope you already have a ticket for Sundays game as the reverse fixture is the only time I've tried to get to a game in nl and not got a ticket.
If you can, go in the away ends. Not as easy in nl as it is in the uk, particularly if it's one where they expect you to pick up the away ticket in the away team's town.
There's one home team on that list that has a bit of a right wing reputation which might be an issue. Grounds 2 and 3 are easy to find, easy to park.
I'm jealous.

Tickets in hand for Saturday & Sunday matches
Had tried to get tickets in the Twente end for the Ajax match - lots of email dialogue with them & made myself a member, but they sold-out online in a flash when they put them on sale
Still to secure ticket for Friday……plan to go to stadium on Friday afternoon & make a case that a +50-yr old English bloke ain’t going to be any bother…..

fingers crossed

Give the European Football Weekends group on FB a look if you aren't already there. You can tend to get some tips on how to get tickets for most countries from there. Sometimes you can add a cool lower league game on the morning nearby your main match.

A shame you didn't include a Helmond match. They absolutely love Burnley over there.
They had a big gathering in their clubhouse to watch our away game at Man U.

Match Day -1:
Den Haag 2: Maastricht 1
90th Minute Winner for Den Haag
Here’s the freaky thing…..in the seats behind us were a group of lads from Hannover-96, proudly wearing their Clarets gloves from when they visited the Turf ~2-yrs ago - we all had a good laugh about that!
I’ll try figure out how to post the photo….
