Foodbank collection this Saturday

The Foodbank bins will be out Saturday from 1.30pm to around 2.40pm. The bins will be located at the bottom of Ormerod Yard (behind the cricket club). outside the away turnstiles and on the corner of the club shop. Please try to bring along something to donate for a worthy cause in these difficult times. I know it’s not cool to spend an hour in the pub, with a large bag of penne pasta or such under your arm, but even so, if you’re heading for a few drinks, there are plenty of things that’d fit in a trouser or coat pocket…

Tube of toothpaste
Small tin of food
A small jar of seasoning
Shower gel
etc

Or even on your way to the ground just pop into the convenience store opposite the Turf pub and make a small purchase. If the bins have gone when you arrive at the ground there'll be a bin either in the Fanzone or next to the Ticket kiosk behind the Jimmy Mc stand.

Let's try and fill the bins this week! UTC

We bought ours yesterday for the food bank, just making a note not to forget them. Well done to everyone for giving up their time in running them.

Inside of carrying a bag of donations around town pre-match, we've started just buying some stuff on our way to the ground at the convenience store opposite the Turf pub. Cheap and then not far to carry it.

We have asked several times about doing this but had no response. Unfortunately as it stands we cannot accept monetary donations.

If you are in possession of any spare carrier bags, and would like to donate them to the cause they would be very gratefully received as well.

That's a real shame, I'm sure there'd be extra donations if people could give a few quid over rather than tins of food etc..

I have had conflicting answers, at the bin. Once a definite no and another time, just drop your note in.

We cannot accept monetary donations. We’ve asked about it several times but as yet have had no positive response. We want to provide a contactless facility too.

It maybe was a game when we weren't collecting, but I can assure you, as already posted, we are not permitted to collect cash.

I received a cash donation from some Chelsea fans a couple of seasons ago when collecting outside the away turnstiles and handed it in when I returned the collection bin !

Hi. Got a few bits together but do they accept boxes of pasta or is it just tinned? Great cause.

Just a nice reminder to bring a donation tomorrow if you can - and if it's cold and wet, a nice hot brew for the old chap on duty tomorrow would be appreciated. :D

Are you okay CT or have you succumbed to one of these horrible virus’s that are going around. We all know you wouldn’t normally miss a home game. Hope your doing okay.

I know some people who’ve felt dreadful with it and others have been fine, a few days resting up will do the trick, hopefully you’ll be feeling much better and able to attend the Watford game.
