Luke McNally

Sounds like he’s off out on loan listening to VK’s post match interview on BBC Lancs Sport. Says he needs to go out and play some football. I’ve read recently he’s been linked with Sheff Wed.
So that’s another defender who looks like he won’t available for us over the next few months.
That would be Kev Long gone, McNally gone until the summer and THB out until mid-March. Al Dahkil has come in but might we need to bring another centre half in for cover in case of injury/suspension to Taylor or Beyer?

Makes sense really. Does need to get playing regularly. I’d imagine Al-Dakhil and Egan-Riley are enough back up for now, although we’ve still been linked with another couple haven’t we? Perhaps ER might go out on loan too for the same reasons.

A psychologist would have a field day with you.

Think another centre back will come in.

I did think it strange that McNally didn’t even make the bench today after his showing at Bournemouth last week. I expected Taylor to play today, but to not be involved at all suggested something like a loan move on the cards.
We have been linked with other centre halves. The one from Sweden and the one from PSV.

Fully trust VK's judgement if he chooses to let McNally go out on loan, and trust him to secure another CH if he feels one is needed, mindful that Beyer and THB are both loans

Basically, this.
We have to be bringing in permanent signings because Beyer and THB might not be here. Can we rely on them being here? No.

Rich from someone who just asked a question and then answered it immediately.

Taking a wild guess, I think VK doesn't like that he's not so comfortable in possession.

It could be a timing thing in that the decision to send McNally out on loan was made before the THB injury, and either we’d already signed a loan deal or we decided to stick with the plan, so unfortunately the lad doesn’t get the chance to step in and prove himself
Coming on at Bournemouth in torrential rain and on a sodden and slippy pitch when we were a little under the cosh didn’t help his cause.
