Hes had two free kicks in his short game time and hit the post and scored with the other. Thats our 3rd direct free kick goal since QPR after going years without scoring

Re: Scotty f’ing Twine
I bet we have never had 3 different players score direct free kicks in the same season before?
Re: Scotty f’ing Twine
Big Vince, "Go on Scott, last 10, make yourself famous". Brilliant substitution, a moment in Clarets history that.

If Vardy had netted that, Lineker would have been cracking one out in the MOTD studio.
Brilliant strike.

Re: Scotty f’ing Twine
Said in the match thread that I loved the celebration at the end with all the players and coaching staff hugging Twine, that is not just "scored a winner" hug, that is a you deserve this hug and sense of what a player the players and staff rate him as and he got his rewards tonight for what I can imagine was a lot of hard work at the training ground.

This lad is going places. Some of his touches were superb as well. No wonder Cork said he was amazing and the fans would love him.

'Pick that out' is what my old man would have said.Superb freekick. Such a shame he not around to see this season. Treasure these moments fellow Clarets.

Re: Scotty f’ing Twine
That technique looks special. I really hope he can be more than a bench option because if VK gets him the minutes he's going to score some outstanding goals. What a goal, well done lad, first of many!

Re: Scotty f’ing Twine
In what way?
Re: Scotty f’ing Twine
I like this new signing called Twine.
Re: Scotty f’ing Twine
So pleased for the lad.
He looks good with the ball at his feet and was willing to get stuck in - alongside being a huge threat with a dead ball of course. What a strike that was.
I hope this is the beginning of him seeing more game time - we’ve got a player here and one I think can operate between the lines, centrally.
Is that now 16 different scorers this season?

Thought he looked really sharp (fk aside) and hope he gets a chance at Ipswich in that 10 role.DCWat wrote: ↑Fri Jan 20, 2023 11:01 pmSo pleased for the lad.

Brownhill couldn't have scored that with a revolver pointed at his head.

Twine did enough without scoring that beauty. Looking like Vincent has played another blinder with the signing and not rushing him in.

Re: Scotty Twine
As soon as Cullen went down on the edge of the area you could few everyone anticipate what was going to happen and no doubt Twine could feel it as well
But what a kick under pressure

Re: Scotty Twine
He was voted League One player of the year whilst at MK Dons and scored some stunning free kicks for them. In one of his earlier cameos for us at the start of the season didn’t he take a free kick that went mighty close, or it might even have grazed the woodwork?
