If that had been against us some on here would be blaming Muric.

Am surprised they aren't blaming Muric anyway 😉

Not seen scenes like that at Turf for a long long time except Barnes first against Rovers.
With how we are playing we should be selling out every game. It is like supporting Melchester Rovers in real life

Totally agree, Muric should have took it, but all he's good for is keeping clean sheets and pin point passes, needs to up his game.👍

Muric should take all the throw ins in our own half!

“A quick pass” was how the SkySports co commentator described it as.
Sounds right up Muric’s street.

to me (on the other side of the pond) it felt a bit different, Rotherham was a good win, last night was a huge win with the added delight in seeing Twine notch, I really think that factor heightened the feeling tbh - I was absolutely buzzing for him hours after the fact

I almost think not having a wall would be more beneficial in these instances.

It’d take a lot of guts to try it but I can’t imagine many keepers getting beat from range if they can see the ball all the way.

Taking nothing away from Twiney btw - the kid is magic.

Some of the free kicks he scored for MK franchise are incredible

Tbh their keeper setup his wall all wrong. Our three in the wall made sure he couldn't see the ball at all, so there was zero chance of him saving it if Twine got it up and under

Can I just say as well that it felt like one of THOSE moments at the turf, as if it was inevitable that it was going to go in.

Not sure about that, from that distance. Wall or not those players will have to be somewhere and so any suggestion the keeper sees it all the way doesn’t stick up to me.

I would agree with no wall for anything 30 yards plus out.

Yeah perhaps not at this distance but 20+ I think a top keeper is saving anything that isn’t top corner.

I never used to have a wall in my Sunday league days for free kicks.
But these professionals would just build their own wall to block the keepers view

Ive sometimes wondered if having a wall on the goal line behind the keeper would work.

Only problem there is you’re playing the attacking team onside all the way to the goal line

I saw Muric smile on Friday the first time his expression has changed this season, maybe he is starting to enjoy himself 😆

Yeah realise that, but the only other place the defending players could be are 10yrds behind or to the side of the taker which wouldn’t work at all

The main problem with the wall is some keepers push too far to the opposite side of the net, hoping the wall will protect one side and leaving a big gap. Without the wall these keepers would be positioning themselves in the centre of the goal and probably have more chance of dealing with the shot.

He smiled in one other game. Think it was Coventry but could be wrong. It was after a shot, possibly deflected, hit him on the chest and went for a corner and he didn't know much about it. One of the opponents made a comment and he smiled.

That smile was against QPR. Field absolutely hammered it and it pinged off Muric's chest
