Hoping for a Middlesbrough draw. Just enough to lift them above Rovers but not enough to reduce our 18 point gap

Anything but a Boro win.

Leeds/Brentford...should be a good un.
City/Wolves...home win for me.
Arsenal/United...cant decide on this one, both doing well.

Would prefer Brentford and Wolves double. But imagine it will be the exact reverse.

Sunderland on top, had one ruled out for offside

Wouldn't mind Leeds winning for a change as it puts them further ahead of Everton.

Leeds 3-2 Brentford
Man City 4-0 Wolves
Arsenal 3-1 Man Utd
2716/1 on SkyBet, so if you put £1 on that you'll lose £1

I really rate Stewart at Sunderland. Surprised clubs aren't after him instead of Gyokeres.

Chelsea-Liverpool abandoned after only 6 minutes in the WSL, surely someone could have made the call to cancel this game prior to KO,
Apparently the officials checked the pitch at 9.30AM and wanted it off however they were overruled by the league.
A bad decision whichever way it came about and it should have never got to that stage.

Sunderland 0 - 0 Boro at half time, a game with an almost total lack of quality.

Pen too, thought it was a free kick to be honest.
1-0 - Stewart

Fri night the commentators said ours was a free kick as his foot was on the line. Today they say it is a pen as his foot was on the line.

Are all the clubs, in and around the play off places, on a mission to avoid reducing the gap to us and Sheff United?

Situation normal for Sunderland pen.
Fry is pulling him BACK, he gets a toe on the line and falls FORWARD.

No they are just incapable of putting any sustained runs together.

I think, because we are playing such lovely football, the rest look awful. Boro are now 6th and they haven't impressed me at all.

I thought the foul on Cullen was more of a pen that the one Sunderland have just got.

I said get in when Stewart scored, and my Wife said “why do you even care about teams around you’s results with your points lead?”
Funny how a neutral to it can get the reality out of you - “there is no team around us”, I replied! Not counting the Blades, of course. You’re absolutely right, the ‘pack’ are dross. I won’t include Norwich in that, they’ll motor on now Smith has been potted. Think they’ll win the Play-Offs.

Question is where the contact is. Cullen was clipped on his kicking leg as he drew it back. That contact was outside the box and beyond the line.
The line is treated as part of the box so contact on the line, which seemed to be the case today, equals a penalty.
That looked on first viewing a very good decision from the officials.

That's what I think it's a poor league just because it's a poor league shouldn't be some sort of a detractor from the way we are setting out our business you can only do the job in hand & beat what's put in front of you & that's exactly what we are doing.

Whilst Norwich are around there's no chance of Rovers getting promoted, so we're all Canaries
Also comes down to pride. I want win promotion at the earliest ever date or by the biggest margin to third

" I don't know why you're bothered about the Watford and Boro scores, you're up already"
Me - I know, I just want us to get promoted at Ewood, that'd be the only other thing we could do to better this season.
That's the aim now.

Reading were 25 ahead of 3rd when they got their 106 points.

Cheers, wasn't sure what their margin was
We can certainly better that if we keep up the current points tally

Got to agree. Admittedly only seen Boro twice - today and against us - but aren't they supposed to be flying? How? If I had to guess where they were in the league I'd say lower half.

Boro just starting to press Sunderland, got them penned in their own half now despite being down to ten. No penetration to them at all though.

Assuming Sunderland win there will be 7 points separating Watford in 3rd and Reading in 14th talk about congested.

The 18 point gap is safe.
As it stands there are 7 teams within a game of overtaking Rovers

I've a friend who is a Huddersfield fan. He's still saying they can realistically make the playoffs!

I reckon those in the play offs zone are looking over their shoulders at the pack rather than trying to catch Sheff U
and that Team 18 points clear of 3rd

None of the teams in the play off zone won their last game just as a small gap began to appear. So Albion sink to 10th, Luton are in seventh on goal difference & Sunderland are one point off a play off slot.
It’s like the Whacky Races!

For all the hype about the Premier League, the best match to watch so far today has been Sunderland v Boro.
